"[A] deep-rooted culture of incompetence and corruption has made it virtually impossible for government to function fairly and efficiently. And because most government employees are shielded by layers of protection, they couldn't care less. Never before in the history of this nation has there been a greater divide between a self-serving federal leviathan and millions of Americans... 'Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem,' Ronald Reagan reminded us during his inaugural address in 1981. Nothing's changed since then, with one exception: It's gotten far worse."

L. Neal Smith said," Government is a disease masquerading as it's own cure". And, we keep reelecting the same people that caused this mess. Shame on us.

An astute observation in the obvious. By way of example from a verse in Oregon's current affairs - the assassins wanton blood lust is not only shielded by layers of protection (criminal organizations of local police, State officials, FBI, DEA, ATF, courts, etc.) but with, the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land's missionary arm (media); all being locked in harmonious goose step with Joseph Goebbels: If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.

Government is now the number one employer -- how did that happen! This is completely backwards -- people are paid more in the public sector than in the private sector. America is producing less and less and borrowing more and more to buy foreign made goods. One half of the country is living off the backs of the other. This much power was NEVER to be centralized in Washington DC -- NEVER -- for the very reason that the States and the people would become permanently indentured to a national government (not federal) that assumes all power over them.

America's biggest problem is INTEGRITY. And the price of dishonor is literally everything.

Leviathan, translated from the Hebrew, Lender, also a symbol for Babylon, Bobble points out Hubris. God I love Capitalism, separates Liberty from Tyranny !! Capitalism coupled with True Benevolence, whether corporate or not, promotes True Freewill. Corporatist tend to relish in the Privilege granted by State ! Without natural laws of moral guidance, always promotes Socialism ! Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Job 40:15. Man is likened unto grass ! He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his Sword to approach unto him. Job 40:19. Now consider God's glittering sword ! Liberty and Freedom and the doctrines thereof ! Honesty to stand with thee, Charity to walk with thee. Who is able to wound the head out of the house of the wicked ? That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his Yoke depart from them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the Hand that is stretched out upon All the nations. Isaiah 14:25,26 KJB

Let me get this straight, a Mr Ahlert reminds us that this individual states that government is the problem as he enters it's highest office, clearly validating and confirming his statement?
