Two stars for being partially true. What man however wants to be ruled only by his mood? Has this man ever lived with a woman of this persuasion? Is it not better that we be ruled by our character rather than by our hormones?

Wendell lol, I love it! Have no master save his mood? ;-), hmm what of, as Wendell said, character, or maybe conscience, or maybe harmonization with law, or maybe a million other things but, mastered by his mood :-) ? aaah, Lets replace law with emotion and make a statute. In context, I'm hoping there's more to the quote.

As the quote stands, isn't that what criminals such as rapists and murderers live by? On that basis, thumbs down.

Maybe he was just trying to be a poet, but i feel he is talking about self determination and reliance. Does our ever growing socialist government know what is best for us? It seems to think so.

He may have meant attitude. I have read the testimony of a jailed for life man who said that his prison cell was the most beautiful place in the world because it is where he met his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Now that is attitude and mental if not physical freedom. Maybe mental freedom is where true happiness lies We all know folk who are physically and material free (wealthy) and maybe politically free but are how is their mood as compared to this guy in prison.

I wouldn't grant my mood (or anyone else's) authority over my actions. Passions make a poor guide -- reason is a better guide despite my feelings. But I understand the jist of the quote which must be from a poem, hence the rhyming. So I will cut Lord Byron some slack. ;-)
