    Since such a large number of individuals have abdicated their sovereignty under the Constitutional Republic, replacing it with godless socialism/fascism, wrapped in a democracy, our country deserves what it gets, including a lack of gratitude and rampant greed. As for those sovereigns that continue with love, liberty, and freedom in their heart, they may suffer under the effects of democracy, but the fruits their of will continue to flow forth.

    I suppose the quote could be used to justify either side of the welfare argument. Perhaps if the word freedom were substituted with the word 'power', we might get a better sense of the point. Unbridled power (freedom) fueled by an insatiable greed for more power can indeed threathen freedom for all. The quote implies that the regulating of that desire is up to the individual not the State.

    To me the quote speaks directly to the illness that King George W represents... rob from the poor to give to the rich... but as it clearly is ambiguous, it gets a lower rating.

    I think she points out that many who have benefited from being here in our country , but feel that they have not received all that they wish should moderate their carping about those things, and show gratitude for that which was obtained.
