Of a lie, Montaigne is very accurate. Of the truth, though there be but one absolute (truth needing no defense and truth needs no argument - it is self evident), truth's conveyance has a myriad of understandings.

    In the search for truth, often what is discovered is what is not true -- religion comes to mind as the sources of much can traced to other places, yet we are still left with what is really true. When the truth is unknown, there are literally endless possibilities. The truth can rarely be simplified into sound bites.
