Not all the educated elite and experts are bad people - there are a few goods one's. Williams is one of the most sensible people on earth. He is not saying all are bad, he is saying we have allowed "expertise" and and the mere fact of having a degree to overide common sense. We have been told so often that to be judgemental is bad, to the point we have lost the desire and ability to show good judgement in the face of idiocy.
