to impose the minimum restrictions and
safeguard the maximum liberties of the people,
and it never regards the person as a thing."

Congress, the President and every government official, federal and state, should read, understand and live by these words.

The wisdom of the ages. Sadly it is lost on our leaders. They do not see us as soverign individuals but as inventory. Sheep to be fleeced and disposed of as they see fit. (taxpayers)

Welcome to the Union of Socialist Amerika where the statist theocracy infesting this land legislates against truths such as this.

People are nothing but human resources to be used up and tossed away by the corporate elite who are running the world through their perpetual money making debt machine that prints up and lends into circulation the principle but does not put into circulation the interest charged. Thus, perpetual debt that operates on new resources (people) being fed into the system.

This quote describes the exact opposite to what Nancy, Reed, Obama and the gang are up too.

jim k, the quote also describes the exact opposite to what the Bush's, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the gang were up to (and likely will do again). Unfortunately, we cannot kick these bums out of office without putting another one in!

Good point Archer. Mike, you wish it was Socialist Amerika because it will be the Socialists that rescue you and jim from the fascist's and the corporate war machine. It's already beginning to happen in Europe. Though, in America, we will be lucky if there is anything left to rescue.

Robert, you may be right but, I still don't know how you're defining socialist or liberal. We may be using different words to say the same thing. The socialist I'm talking about are the likes of Fabian Socialism, Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, and Mussolini. Stalin and Lenin favored a communist version of socialism while Hitler and Mussolini favored a fascist version of socialism. Obamunist seems to favor fascism with a little communism thrown in just to make things interesting (like the nationalization of Government Motors - all the while keeping the corporate fascists happy) Since Carter,. fascism has grown exponentially through each group of legislators, executors, and judiciary. So that I might understand what you're saying; how do you separate socialism from the German workers socialist party (Nazi)?
     -- Mike, Norwalk

Like this. Hitler was not a socialist, he was a fascist. Fascism is strongly opposed to core aspects of the Enlightenment and is an opponent of liberalism, Marxism, and mainstream socialism for being associated with failures that fascists claim are inherent in the Enlightenment. In short, keep people stupid and you stay in charge. Which is why there was so much re-educating going on in Nazi Germany.

Much like in our public education system right now. They're very busy teaching our kids what to think, instead of teaching them how to think for themselves.
