The economy is trying to recover so the Kenyan is going to roll out new plans to help "spur" the recovery....meaning he's going to kill it. That's what government help does. And for sure he's a socialist bent on bringing America into the NWO. We have to cut the head off this hydra.

Michelle is all about community when she takes off to Spain with 70 or so of her best friends and spends a few days at a ritzy hotel. at taxpayers expense. Then she has the audacity to say that being the first lady is "hell'. Maybe they were short one washcloth in her hotel room in Spain or room service took an extra 10 seconds to bring up the champagne. This bunch needs a permanent vacation in 2012.

Jim K everybody paid their own way to Spain even Michelle and girls. The only cost to government was Secret Servuce Protection. I hope we never elect a President or politician who does not care about these things. American car companies are making profit, stock market is up, recession is over, the disastrous Bush tax cuts and debt (remember when Cheney was preaching to us that "DEFICITS DON'T MATTER) spending may come to an end if only we can get the four guys above on board this train. Obama cares about our national community Bush screwed it saw it as a place where his rich friends could make a killing.

I am a confessed Christian and my bible tells me (us) in Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV): “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” To me Obama’s quote is nothing new, than what I believe is my duty. For those who love the Lord, love their neighbor and provide help/protection when needed. How can anyone argue with that?

Annette asks 'how can anyone argue about loving our neighbor and providing help/protection when needed?' Very simple: what if our neighbor does not want or need help? Or what if you cannot help your neighbor, shall you force someone in another village to help your neighbor? Is forcing one person to help your neighbor the same as YOU helping your neighbor? And what if the neighbor can but won't help themselves, does anyone have the choice to stop helping him? Christ's message is for the individual for his own soul's sake -- it is about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for goodness' sake -- kindness, compassion and virtue are their own rewards. When a ruler claims to be our brother and thus our keeper, watch out! He is not my brother nor my neighbor nor do I need or want his help nor do I know who he promises to help with my money. Let ME decide who to help and let others do the same -- there are millions of us self directed humans out there acting in accordance with Christ's teachings -- is Obama? Bush? Or any of the super-rich Democrats and Republicans living off the lives, labors, and property of the rest of us? I think they should not worry about the splinter in my eye and take care of the beam in their own. Annette, these guys LIE, LIE, LIE, and LIE -- and now claim themselves to be my keeper?! Don't Tread On Me! ;-)

    J. Carlton; Had Christ manifested himself today your ilk would have labeled a socialist and part of your "Liberal Conspiracy". What is wrong with you? Obama's pure and simple expression of his beliefs that form part of his faith will lead his country into a new era of social responsibility. For you to denigrate this only shows how deeply misguided Right Wing Conservatism is.

Do some homework in world history, get better informed and stop spinning your "emotional" opinions at me. And BTW I'm a Libertarian...not a Conservative. Look it up.

The quote has nothing whatsoever to do with race. It has been my experience that those calling others racist are in fact stirring the racist pot. You should be ashamed of yourself, Robert.

I think this quote is at the heart of WHY libertarians and central planners (of any label) are so at odds with each other. Central Planners want to use government force to take from some and give to others. Libertarians want every person to choose for themselves how to better their lives. There is nothing wrong with helping your brother, but it is downright evil to force someone else to do it at gun point.

When Mr. Archer gives total evidence he has no understanding of the simplest words in the English language, I don't think his comments deserve printing. He has emotions connected to certain words and names and they evince nothing but raw emotions completely unrelated to the actual meanings. The realization that words have meanings regardless of what name may be associated with them is completely beyond his comprehension. A name or word simply sets off a synanptic explosion of gut emotions with no intervening possibility of thought. You need help, Mr. Archer.

The words "my brother's keeper" is a Biblical phrase used in a specific message. It is expressed in the same context as "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and render unto God what is God's." In this case, Obama represents Caesar -- this may be hard to digest for those who think of him as the Messiah of the religion of Power. The lesson of the Good Samaritan is aimed at the common man, not the Caesars of this world who lay claim to everything. I am not in need of Caesar's help -- it is a con anyway, for he merely robs Peter to pay Paul. 300 million individuals acting in accordance with their own consciences beats the hell out of one 'ruler' who calls himself my brother and thus my keeper. If you want him to be YOUR keeper then serve him, but you have no right to force him on anyone else. He is a liar, not a prophet, he is a politician, not 'my brother,' he is not even my neighbor. I maintain kind and courteous relations with my neighbors and with those I find in need along my path -- if anything, it is because of Obama (and his ilk) that so many are busted and broken -- his commitment is not to being my brother but to being my keeper. In fact, if it were common practice to actually take care of your real brother, mother, father, sister, children instead of sending them to some government funded institution, few would buy into such obvious placation. Before the uber-rich took over the government (thanks to Wilson and FDR) and the nation's wealth, the family was the heart and foundation of the republic. Now both parents usually have to work to pay the bills, the kids are sent off for 12 years of indoctrination, and the grandparents are sent to an old folks home -- that is socialism for you. Obama ain't the savior -- all you will inherit is permanent debt and dependence to the state. If that's what you want, you can have it all in Cuba, for the people are all indeed 'brothers' and Castro is their keeper.

If you read back on everything Obama has said leading up to and after the election, he has always said exactly what he was going to do. it is the ignorance of the electorate who don't understand that what he is saying is pure socialist/Marxist doctrine. It is fine to help the needy, but that is what our churches and other local charities (paid for voluntarily out of our pockets) are for. It is not the place of the government to provide a middle class life style to those who refuse to work for it, and to provide it with our tax money, (not given voluntarily). Charities give to those who are truly needy, but what the government gives has strings attached. I for one do not care to have any government strings attached to me and Obama is trying as hard as he can to attach those strings to you and me every single day he remains in power. My fear is that he will succeed, then we are all truly screwed.

Mr Obama, we need to be kept human, your administration was in opposition to that course. Trying to keep my brother human involves making him one first, then we can proceed.

     -- Fredrick William Sillik, Anytown

In addition, Mr Obama keeping us in jail and in the nut house is not in keeping with keeping us human. The reason they elected you was just to make your pointless position the make-up job on what this conventional system actually is, a sexist, racist shiftless bum war industry. We need social responsibility. Socialism is the challenge of social abilities to create.
