"Big Brother in the form of an increasingly powerful government and
in an increasingly powerful private sector will pile the records high
with reasons why privacy should give way to national security, to law
and order, to efficiency of operation, to scientific advancement and
the like."

This quote should replace the 'Pledge of Allegiance' in every classroom in America if 'teaching' is what schools are ACTUALLY for.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of Socialism - and to the Communism for which it brings - one nation, of common slaves, bound together, with shackles and fetters for all.

as time moves forth laws are often written and seldom removed.... will we live to see the day when there is a control for every aspect of what remains of our free will and rights as individual beings.

Rating this 5 stars for accuracy; a thumbs down - a multiple of times, for what the once land of the free and home of the brave has become.

There is a common concensus here and on the street that government is off its leash and completely out of control. It's just a matter of time now before things reach a boiling point from which there will be no return. Let's hope patriotic Americans are prepared.

To Logan, Did you actually read the quote or just spew the usual "the commies, the commies". What part of "increasingly powerful government and in an increasingly powerful private sector". do you not understand. Now let me see, goals of the transnational corporate private sector and government action... hmmm...wasn't there a quote from Mussolini that described such a system, now what did he call it...oh yea, that would be fascism. You call yourself a Patriot although you are the enablers of the Transnational/industrial/financial/military complex takeover of our government. Our government no longer acts on behalf of "We The People", it represents the corporate agenda. Yea that's right, you guys keep a steely eye out for the imaginary communist somewhere over the horizon while the corporatist/fascist are walking through the back door.

Big Brother controls both political parties. Technically this form of authoritarianism should be called FASCISM which is a merging of socialism and corporatism propped up by the banking clans that print up money to 'loan' governments around the world in a perpetual debt scam in which all world currencies are interest-bearing IOU's rather than markers for real property. Any form of collectivism treats the leaders of the 'group' as privileged and the rest are to 'respect authority' and obey its dictates. Nothing could be further from the American way of self-sufficiency, personal responsibility, privacy and private property. The collectivist (whether socialist, communist, or fascist) is but a ward of the state with increased benefits for keeping others in line.

To Heathen Steven, Did you actually read the quote or just spew the communists' usual, its "the fascists, the fascists" - do you not understand. First, start by reading the 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto (Amerika has adopted all 10 planks in one form or another). The occupying statist theocracy that is currently infesting this land follows a more fascist line it is true BUT, SOCIALISM is the umbrella that covers both sides of the communist / fascist coin. The only real difference between communism and fascism is administration. Communism controls everything in its own name and, fascism controls everything through subordinate entities (such as corporations - a corporation is a bifurcation; the government being the equitable owner and ultimate controller while, the officers and stock holders are the day to day legal operators).

The powerful private sector of the quote is merely an extension of the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land (government). That single animal (government / big business), clothed to blend in and confuse everyday people propagates the master / slave relationship by proselyting false dogmas, prejudices, and the allure of a materialism's god. Said god requires all the quote references and more.

The media are the enforcers of groupthink and the gatekeepers of speech.  As with currency, flooding the airwaves with hearsay and opinion dilutes dialog and buries truth and facts.  In mob rule, the majority voices win, no matter whether right.  The majority opinion rules  which is why they fight so hard to dominate that majority.  Truth and justice are sacrificed on the altar of power.
