"[T]he tax code has been piling up, year after year, a symbol of everything gone wrong in America, of arrogant rulers and lost freedom, just waiting for us to pick the whole thing up and heave it away. It has to happen. Free people can put up with such laws only for so long."
by:
Richard Armey
(1940- ) U.S. Congressman (R-TX) (1985–2003), House Majority Leader (1995–2003).

The tax code is the back bone of economic slavery. The Federal Reserve and the IRS are the instruments of our destruction, especially with a fiat currency money machine at the disposal of a completely irresponsible government.

I would rather see a national sales tax then this conglomerate income tax we have. The government would not have any reason to get into our personal business with a national sales tax.

Why don't these people say the truth, all the truth, over 50% of our taxes go to feed the military machine and yet people like Armey stay silent and rant and rage over taxes - which is the easy way out. We need brave rhetoric not people "please" stuff. We have socialism for the rich (tax cuts and banking bail-out $4 trillion and still counting) and still do since the corporate elitists took over. The difference between Marxism and Starlin is far greater than the difference between Socialism and capitalism.

Yes, the tax code has gone wrong for sure. By all moral and, especially the Christian, standards it should be as it was in the late 40s and the 50s. Anyone claiming to be Christian and espousing today's tax codes is guilty of cognitive dissonance.

Robert, WHAT? I'm going to see if that stuff you're smoking is available here cuz I want some ;-). You had me nodding my head until that Marxism thing. None of them are going to say the whole truth. I can think of a couple that are courageously standing up and saying we need to bring our military home and get rid of the fed and the 16th. cal, don't buy into the sales tax or flat tax propaganda, the federal government could / should exist on far less than they are already taking in without the income tax. Armey starts in the middle when he starts with the tax code but, from there, he is right on.

Obviously, the US Constitution does not sufficiently protect the People from the Congress loading the nation with debt. This is a serious error -- big enough to bring the whole thing down. By not only allowing the government to borrow but forcing the People to use its debt as currency (and making it illegal to trade with gold and silver) seems completely unconstitutional -- so how do we get Congress to discpline themselves when there is no way to punish them? A serious error in enforcement of the Law of the Land.

Enough has been said about Armey. As far as reforming the the tax code that has been done ad infinitem. The big rewrite was during Reagan's torturous reign. Then Bush reformed it in 2001. Thanks to these guys WE went further and further into debt and wound up with more billionaires and millionaires. Now the coward Saxby Chambliss gives a speech saying our children and grand children will have to pay higher taxes. Duh he doesn't mention that it is these guys fault and cowardly omits that "If we would pay higher taxes we could thereby help our children and grandchildren" Throw these bums and their ill out in November.

I rate this 4 stars...he skips mentioning the elephant in the room....America isn't a land of free or brave people anymore. We can't count on leaders to have self discipline. ( hope the best, expect worst ) We can't punish those responsible, but turning this around could be done....EXPOSE THEM ! They can't get away with their schemes and fraudulent raping and pillaging under the spotlight of truth. If exposing the deeds and occult practices of the evil elite would continue generation after generation, they'd be suffocated out of existence.

The need is to implement an alternative to the dollar and cents process, and create a new stance, a new ideal, were we put our trust in our fellows and ourselves. A new national and international proclamation should be established: In humanity we trust.
