A most astute observation. He describes the Great American Pastime - wasting time! By which I mean, we rush around seeking the good things in life - and missing the best things in life.

As another said well, a young man at 15 that is not liberal has no heart....an older man at 30 that is not a conservative has not brain. Guess we see the progression there. Indeed, some people have 1 year of experience THIRTY TIMES!!!

that is not always true- someone can be very wise at 20 and be just as wise at 50. (I am not 20)

So true..I am only 23 and it is so suprising to find so many 'mature' individuals commiting continuous acts of fraudery, dishonesty, adultery and indolence. On the other hand, upon seeing the consequences that inevitably befall them, I am grateful that I will not be wasting anymore years of my own life. Be good people!

Live in the moment, is where we are. Be as good as you can be. It does come back around. Share and enlighten when the door opens. " Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee". The man with the hands.

I think so. When I was young, I was a Democrat -- anti-Vietnam, anti-draft, anti-Nixon, peace, love, all that jazz. But gradually I learned that the Dems were as bad as the GOP. I liked Reagan, but not the Bush's or any Republican president since.

I see my children following similar paths, they have very big hearts. Liberals and the Christian Right have a lot in common -- they both see evil in the world and want to remedy it. Both mostly mean well. Even if their views are utopian or narrow-minded, I am OK with it -- that is their journey. I am pretty old now, and I still am learning. ;-)

If you see the world uglier 30 years later you've wasted much more than that 30 years. If you see the world more beautiful over that course of 30 years you have attained much more credibility and value.
