Without a doubt, ethics, morality, family values, personal responsibility, adherence to our Founding Principles and any kind of nobility whatsoever are being brainwashed right out of our society. Even our "Dept. of Public Education" feels it is their responsibility to take our children from crayons to condoms. We have become a very sick society, all in the name of the Nanny State.

Einstein failed physics in school -- just goes to show how it works. Turn off broadcast news -- they don't call it 'programming' for nothing. This is why out of 300 million people, we are 'given' a 'choice' of a dozen puppets to elect as the protectors of our rights. Anyone who would challenge the ruling class system doesn't have a chance to even be known. America is waking up though -- will 2012 be the year?

This is the reason why the federal government decided to take over the education of our children. Before that, it was the responsibility of the separate states. I'd like to see it go back to that. We'd better if we want to stop the socialist machine who already have our children brainwashed.

Gunny, I agree. Here's a thought for you though...Don't you think its strange that so many people will die before giving up their guns, but they don't seem to mind handing over their childrens minds...I don't think we should give the state either one.

Einstein was brilliant in more ways than one! Sadly, his statement is as true today as when it was first spoken.
Too bad we cannot say the same for the straw-man Waffler, Smith who seems to live in his own alternative universe.
Waffler needs to join a page where he can find like-minded COMRADE Progressive-Socialists to dance his ludicrous and fully despoilment of Liberty jig. Sadly, Waffler has yet to learn that we aren't ever going to fall in line with his obvious ignorance... but, he must like to fully waste his time being ignored. Such is the case when someone can't put one brain cell in front of the other.

Waffler, you demonstrate the truth of the quote as the only reason you bring up the Koch's, Fox, and the Tea Party is that you have been conditioned to do so, just as Einstein has asserted.

Unfortunately, true. Education is a key. For those of us that are aware, RIGHT information must be spread, & dis-information, must be halted.
WE, not the ruling class, are the majority, & must take appropriate action.

Education, knowledge has always been the most regulated, delegated substance known to man. Knowledge is Power, " Power belongs to God." Law and Order presents itself through natural laws of nature. From governorship to servant. All arrayed in heavenly splendor and glory. Glory is also termed knowledge. As another great physicist has enshrined on his head stone, Psalm 19, THE HEAVENS declare the glory of God. with that being said, for those that can fish, that's a Big Fish. The Awakening, 2017, Trump elected 45 President. Transitioning, dismantling entrenched " New Liberalism" to what ever degree of common sense Gladstonian Liberalism obtainable. Rolling back, " new liberalism, the welfare state of socialism originating from the British Isles. Gladstone got it Right, Lord Acton influenced Gladstone, Gladstone influenced all around. Break the chains that bind the minds and set the children free. "There be many that say, Who will show us any good ? Lord, Lift thou up the light of thy Countenance upon us. Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me to dwell in safety." Psalm 4

Interesting how most posters see ruling and political class as the same thing. Also interesting that the wealthiest countries have some of the worst literacy and numeracy rates in the (so called) developed world with the UK and US vying for last place. Emotions of the masses are obviously not swayed by the value of education and the attainment of basic skills the lack of which are strongly associated with poverty and crime. Formal education as a mechanism of control seems to be failing at this very basic level.

     -- Reason, Anywhere
Mick, the federal education of the masses in the US (not sure about the UK) has resulted in lower literacy and numeracy rates than before the government regulated it. So the average American is less educated than previous generations, and s/he has not learned how to grow food or build a house or any 'responsibility' skills (i.e. survival skills). The 'institutionalization' of society has only been possible through a coordinated education policy. The same campuses and techniques are employed in a 'school' as in the army or a cattle farm. It's either "Ten-hut!" or the cattle prod.

The white collar vs blue collar classes represent the rulers vs the slaves. Try getting an education outside of this box from the State...

As for poverty and crime, these are the food of government. They are absolutely dependent upon it. Like modern medicine, they only treat disease, they do not cure it -- cures are bankruptcy, and also illegal.

The premise may be to end crime and poverty through education, but look at a failing school, and you will see that their own policies are breeding a 'screw you' attitude among the students. Years of this creates some rather unsociable groups - GREAT! More reason to create more government departments to fight crime and poverty!
