"You've got to rattle your cage door.
You've got to let them know that you're in there,
and that you want out.
Make noise. Cause trouble.
You may not win right away,
but you'll sure have a lot more fun."

Rattle our cage doors? That's pathetic. Talk about a slave mentality.

This one's not as politically correct, but I like it better ... “Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.” - H.L. Mencken

I had a lot of fun for six years, until I realized that the overall condition of the situations I wished to change will not lend itself to change, largely because too many sob's are benefiting from the status quo, while too many others are either paralyzed, apathetic, afraid, or otherwise incapable of supporting change. I also had fun by boldly criticizing and challenging certain parties, thinking that perhaps by provoking them to react a process of change could be encouraged; but none of them were provoked by me and the few who accompany me. They were either confident or cautious. So it is getting to the point where the fun is not fun anymore.

Our society, our democracy, our nation is based upon participation. Beware of the silent majority as Nixon called it who do not speal up and thus harbor resentments and are therefoe sullen. Do what you can do, hope for the best and then let it go. None of us can change the world ourselves but we for our own health we should participate. All voices will then make one chorus. The change may not be exactly what you wanted but such is life.

As to cage rattling, the recent tea parties certainly rattled Obamas cage. More is needed if we are to servive this Obamanation.

Dump the cage and let the monkeys around you keep rattling. The caged and their keepers are on a collision course The only bars around me are few but yet illusionary. The journey has been great and I'm having fun, are you?

"All voices will then make one chorus" - Good Lord! What planet are you from? I refuse to be relegated to caged animal status, nor will I ever "make one chorus" with anyone other than my own family. Its called being an individual...not an ant.

Thanks Mike. The only other analogy I have for "make one chorus" would be to Nazi Germany or Communist Russia...both failures.

It's time to cage the politicians and rattle the door from the outside; maybe poke them with a cattle prod too. Now that would be fun.

Thanks for proving my point. I said that all may not like the output of the chorus. There will always be disgruntled chorus members. Most of them are on this site. At least Mike is having fun, I guess the some of the others are the sullen ones of which I spoke.

While others think they're slaves, it is a mentality instilled by the government in the U.S. " Right to Work " States have afforded the sovereign individual greater opportunity for success than " closed shop " States. Liberty, no doubt a responsibility, with failure brings experience to overcome. A nation whose trust and faith are in the Creator, this declared by contract before the world, it would be foolish for the individual not to trust in God's grace. Break the chains, free the mind, then anything is possible. There is no cage. Get out and Vote, let the voice of independence ring loud. Wake Up and Rise Up, Patriots, it is time to take back our Republic.

The ONLY true way, is the rights of individuals - it is these rights that are being take away from us, bit by bit - It's time for us to revolt against the neo-cons, and their pathological leaders...
It's time to take back our individuality......
