"The country's first drug ban
explicitly targeted the opium
of 'the heathen Chinee.'
Cocaine was first banned in the
south to prevent an uprising of
hopped-up 'cocainized Negroes.'"

If this is true, I am disillusioned about anti-drug legislation.

I am not quite sure how to rate this. 5 stars for exposing the power of bigotry and fear (there has to be a profit margin somewhere at the base of the bigotry); OR, thumbs down for such an ignorant populace that accepts what ever the prevailing story is to take away their freedom.

Cheap labor and the baggage of vice. One for the railroads, the other for tending crops. One to sooth the pain, the other to enhance pleasure. Abused and misused manipulated to the fullest extent. Two of the most powerful plants on the planet. Two cultures given to hard labor and debauchery. Now cheap labor from Mexico with their opium and cocaine. You can thank the Elite for the cocaine when first introduced around high society. The far east, that is an old story. Old opium dens are still under the streets form the railroads exploits. Just like fire ants came into the country as stowaways. Every one knows these two destroy lives and our family unit.

Just to make my stance clear. Moderation and self rescue is the only choice. Just like the fire ant cannot be eradicated. But tolerated. So to is the war on certain plants foolish while on others tolerated. Tabaco and hemp are passive liken unto beer and wine. Hemp and hops are in the same family. Strong drink, as opium and cocaine are for those ready to die. So says the Old 66. Never confuse the two. You can't stop the ant but people spend a lot of money trying.

Drug prohibition has always had its roots in racism. That's why most white guys from well-to-do families don't go to jail, whereas their urban, black counterparts are cycled through the revolving doors of the 'Justice system.'

Leftist "I wana smoke dope" logic. Racists would want to destroy minorities not help them.
