This really applies to what is happening to our country these days. For example, taking prayer out of school, pledging allegiance to the flag, removing the ten commandments from offical offices and the simple fact we cannot say how we really feel about the President of the United States without someone accusing you of threatening the President.

Not shooting the messenger, very accurate. The occupying statist theocracy infesting this land with its usurpations and tyranny  including but not limited to; compelled compliance, victimless crimes, government licenses, larceny with impunity (2nd plank of the communist manifesto, funny money debt system, etc.) are still not addressed through acknowledged 1st Amendment rights.

Remember, the Bill of Rights does not confer rights to the People  the People already have their rights which cannot be taken away.  The Bill of Rights spells out explicitly what the government may NOT do.  We have no First Amendment "right"  we have a First Amendment "prohibition" of government's power to regulate speech in any way.

The government is not the enemy for the scapegoating public. The government of the people is present for the most effective reasonable course for human preservation.
