Bush and Chaney are not ignorant. There mannerisms may be a bit dubious but their actions are well calculated. Torture for information is not done out of ignorance.

Well :calculated" is about all we've seen from this administration. Lets not forget Cheney and Rummy were involved with the CIA mind experiments and other "beneficial" activities. Ignorant, they are not! Evil yes, ignorant....no.

That's exactly what makes them SO IGNORANT… Never before in the history of the USA have we suffered under the hands of so much ignorance. The dumbing of America is in full swing and the public are as much to blame as our administration. The public is apathetic and are comfortable as long as they not effected directly. We should be in the streets demanding impeachment and the trial of those who have committed war crimes. He that is the aggressor shall suffer the consequence of his own ignorance.

I am afraid it is the People who are ignorant by ignoring the system by which America has been bankrupted. The German people were ignorant of fascism creeping into their country well before it was perfected under Hitler. The Americans seem to be doing the same thing. Wake up!

Ahh, how quickly we forget. Weren't we attacked in 2001 with our pants down. Fat and ignorant Americans bumbling behind an administration that groomed us to be that way? And aren't we ignorant to point our troubled fingers at just one or two in the white house, when it's the entire Congress--that WE elected--that ultimately calls the shots. I agree Archer--wake up America! Turn off Brittney and open a "Good Book"!

Archer, The reference to Germany reminds me of a scene I like to pose for people: "Heinrich, zees Brown Shirts...I'm telling you someday zey are going to be trouble! Franz you worry too much, have another strudel...have you thought about actually joining ze party?" Franz stares into the distance.... Wake up America!

Move that plaque from the Naval War College to the halls of Congress. I cringe whenever Congress does anything and I can only hope for gridlock. The less they do "for" you, the less they'll do "to" you.

He is right. The above comments are a perfect example.

This would work as our new national motto. (See some comments above, crowds following the avowed socialist or the dem who pretends to be GOP or those in so-called 'institutions of higher learning' who scream and whine for "safe zones"...from the threat of Speech and being offended!)

Continual tragedy of Constructive Fraud committed by Congress and the IRS against the American people. Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe sought " The Things That Are More Excellent " With the increase of knowledge, hate mongers flourish. Authors of confusion, tempered for stately crimes. " Nought nobler is, than to be free: The stars of heaven are free because, in amplitude of Liberty, Their joy is to obey the laws. From servitude to freedoms name, Free thou thy mind in bondage pent; Depose the fetich, and proclaim, The things that are more excellent." William Watson

The hubris and attendant obtusity of this nation's current generation of supposed "leaders" is Biblical in character. Lightless, without vision, without insight, without humility. Truly are they, "blind leaders of the blind."

The people may well be ignorant but our leaders are also ignorant and their ignorance is as destroying as that of the peoples ignorance  I think even more so. So, what happens if the people are suddenly enlightened??? Our votes are meaningless, our letters of complaint and advice are thrown in the bin. The only vehicle the people have is revolt.........
