"The freedom to share one’s insights and judgments verbally or in writing is,
just like the freedom to think, a holy and inalienable right of humanity that,
as a universal human right, is above all the rights of princes."

Very nice, I liked the fact that he referenced it to religion and human rights. Very nice for civil right essays and on the enlightenment period for essays.

Beautiful! The power of the word -- Truth rules, and anyone can wield its sword (speech). Tempered with Love, truthful speech is how I wish to speak and what I like to hear. The humble nobility of the common man/woman is thus empowered by seeking/speaking truthfully.

The trouble is, the Press lost that right sometime ago as they are now the propaganda arm of the CIA/MIC - the real master behind the curtain. And the people don't share their thoughts as they are too scared, and hide within their bubble, too afraid to step out. The American people have their heads in the sand and wish to keep it there. As an example, where is the outrage from the public over the genocide being carries out in the Yemen by Saudi Arabia with the help of the US. Though this quote is said with good intentions, alas today it carries no weight. America is now ANYTHING FOR A PAYCHECK...

    * as a side note , each and every, any and all individuals have the same inalienable / unalienable rights before the law. Princes or ... have exactly the same rights; none higher / none lower.
