"To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic."

Yes by all means let's attack the messenger because hurling invective at the message is so thought-provoking. I agree with Ted they are pathetic!
Liberalism has to be a self-centered mental disorder to be able to live under the blanket of freedom and safety that philosophies like this provide well berating and hating them.

Ted is correct. As Col Dave Grossman says, the world is made up of wolves, sheep, and sheepdogs. I prefer to continue to be a sheepdog. If Mr. Anonymous prefers to be a sheep, fine. I choose not to be.

Yeah, let's cling to advice from a gun toting racist and drug addict.

How typical of the progressive religionists. 'anonymous' and 'L Hanson' can only resort to non-accurate ad hominems when faced with the truth (now that is pathetic).

;-) The ol' tried and true tactic of the 'progressives' -- losing the debate? Call the opposition a racist, and you win! Ad hominem indeed -- and demonstrates only childish ignorance. Nugent isn't racist and doesn't do drugs, and I bet neither of these two cowards would dare say that to Nugent's face.

Mr Archer: All supporters of firearms are hate mongering, trouble making, hunter, predator racists, sexist, degenerates looking for the "ultimate prey" victim.  Individuals with no wits are always defenseless.

The individual carrying the firearm is just saying they have no other way to express themselves and their accompanying case don't amount to hill of beans. It me, me, me, and the hell with you, you, you. The peaceful individual has everyone's best interest as their intent.

The quote is about being rendered defenseless in the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death.  Firearms aren't even mentioned.  The quote is about being responsible for defending one's life and liberty.  The argument is that we the people are born with the right to defend ourselves  in fact it is not just a right but a duty otherwise it's servitude and death.

Mr Archer come on, an intelligent person understands they are never defenseless.

Mr Archer: You're argument makes as much sense as trying to present firearms to an unwanted fetus. My understanding is that every female at this point supports the demise of any unwanted fetus. In fact this idea of  "pro-choice" simply does not exist because if you are not in a agreement with abortion you meet much political oppressive opposition, which indeed I do. There's only pro death or pro life. There's only pro death or me
