There was a certain liberty wave, previous to Rev. Beecher's sojourn on this globe and, I believe that was of God's providence. The North's war of aggression ended the cycle. Slave status was equalized to all others. All became captive chattel. Shortly there after, the banker's providence carried debt and an helots existence throughout the globe (when individual man quit listening to God).
