The problem tends to be the definition of "the people." Not ALL the people are of the "thinking" variety, uninformed and not caring, already taking from governments ( and happily so, since someone else is paying for the benefits ). If the people will lead, maybe we can lose those that seek to be our 'leaders.' What is all this 'leader' nonsense anyway? Do we ever get to grow up and lead ourselves? Life is not supposed to be a series of social programs -- what a boring and dull existence following someone else's dogmatic view of the world, and making me a servant of it for life.
