As I get older I become ever more cynical and this one captures my mood perfectly. We have this constant circus put on by the Democrats and the Republicans to amuse and involve the voters. Vast amounts of money are donated to campaigns, suits and dresses get elected and proceed to spend away with wild abandon and we all remain angry with our government because it doesn't listen to us. Louis XIV wasn't much different and he put on a much better show.

Yes it is...and it's why Americans don't get why the world holds such animosity towards them. Its not the American people who are busy subverting other countries...its the Government.

Obamunist's apologetic machine has never separated his unconstitutional and foreign statist theocracy from the kept in the dark 'We The People'. The statist theocracy's government schools, industrial media complex, and other information sources have perpetrated one of the greatest propaganda accomplishments in promoting their dominant political mythology.

Yeah and do you know what your big boss is doing or the President of your corporation or the Board that controls the holding company that owns your company. That we, that is every American from the age of majority (that is 18), should know what every move is, of the mayor of our town let alone the Governor of our state and the President of our country is, is one of the most stupid things ever published on this site. And this site makes a great effort at publishing stupid stuff and there are so many on here just ready to grovel for the slop and crumbs that are published. I guess Mike thinks he should know every thing that the CIA is up to also.

Waffler, again your mis direction, off topic, half truths, head in the sand rhetoric is only surpassed by your tyranny of choice's canned political orientation. You are a poster child for my above comment. I happen to believe that some of what happens in government should be behind closed doors and out of the public's immediate scrutiny. I and the quote were talking the dominant political mythology that compelled compliance, license, victimless crimes, larceny with impunity, theft by funny money, etc. are all aspects of a free society. The what and why that occurs in the name of the U.S.people is far different than the Constitution would allow and the people hear.

Mike you show your bent towards or love of tyranny by calling my remarks "mis directed" or "off topic". In a group meeting I feel confident that you would cut off my microphone. You show yourself to be the very similitude or likeness of the tyrant that you say you detest.

Waffler, once again, as is your tradition, you are big time wrong. It is your heroes, and fellow parishioners of the statist theocracy that shuts off microphones, not those that love liberty. If you were on the microphone, I would let you speak. I would let you explain the dominant political mythology and how there is no gap between that and reality. Then, I would address how your mis direction, off topic, half truths, head in the sand rhetoric was completely wrong.

So true - we have supported nearly every right-wing take-over of democratically elected governments; mostly in Central America. America has supported terrorism and yet we call those wanting to take back their country terrorists - the worlds greatest sham. America is responsible for killing thousands of innocent civilians. Red-flags and lies are part of the American politic. The true patriot is supporting our troops to come home - enough of killing our young folk in the name of greed masquerading as bringing Democracy to world. Read Harold Pinter's Nobel Prize in Literature 2005

RBESRQ, America sounds like the axis of evil in your writing and I fully agree with you. Enough is enough. They must end the School of the Americas in Georgia which trains the coups and soldiers who kill patriots trying to save their own countries. It is pathetic that our military looks upon its soldiers as just pixels on a screen. We must bring these war weary men home. We are making more enemies the world. The Al Quida are in numerous countries in the world, including here, likely coming in ship containers that they do not have time to search. Albuquerque has had Asian restaurant workers come here that way.. Why not work on the threats to home instead of depleting the soldiers we need at home to protect us from our own government.

I have lived in foreign countries for half my life -- it is interesting how the rest of the world experiences the USA. Those occupied by US forces know what Americans in front of their TV set don't. Read, listen or watch Canadian news or British or French -- they will report on stories buried in the US. In Central America it is common knowledge that the drug trade is managed by the DEA --enormous profits and power! The purpose of drug prohibition is to keep those profits coming -- the Bush's are probably the biggest drug dealers in the world, and most everyone knows it in those drug producing countries -- ask Noriega! But Americans are blissfully ignorant until there is a leak -- e.g. Iran-Contra. BTW Afghanistan has the world's largest opium crop, and the US military is there -- has the crop been destroyed? Heaven's no! When Americans are ready to live honorable and responsible lives, then they can accept the truth, but denial is rampant among most of the middle classes -- we must lie to ourselves about how things really are because the truth is too depressing and we have all but been reduced to powerlessness. BTW RBESRQ, the current dictators in Central America are left-wing and Obama loves 'em -- Ortega, Chavez, Castro. Please name one right-wing dictator in Central America -- how can borderline-Communists be right wing? As far as the history I have studied, dictators have arisen from leftist platforms every time -- often voted into power by the poorer classes -- they don't get any richer, but the rich definitely got poorer (or dead). Another 'gap' between what Americans think and reality.

A P.S. comment, I have also been in many foreign countries as of late. One thing Amerikan's don't know their god/government is doing is further enslaving a once "We The People" with funny money. For example: 'facta'. An occupying statist theocracy infesting this land's canon. It makes all citizens of the world U.S. taxpayers unless they can prove otherwise. Further, all banks in the world that have a client associated in anyway to Amerika, the financial entity has to act as an IRS agent. I have seen major banks send out notifications to their depositors and otherwise clients questioning citizenship. If there is any tie to Amerika, the banks are asking them to close their accounts and move elsewhere. Amerikans are loosing the ability to choose a higher rate of return than they can get in Amerika.

Mike, Federal Reserve Notes are debt-instruments that have terms associated with them. Using these notes, which are not real money but a form of commercial paper, carries obligations of all sorts. If you want to play the game of Monopoly, you have to abide by the bankers' rules. After all, it isn't really money, so if you want to play, you have to play by the rules of the game (which are 'fixed' in the banker's favor).

Why risk your money in a bank account earning 'interest' -- you are only helping to prop up the illusion, and making bankers rich. I do not know of a commercial bank anywhere in the Western world where you get a good rate of return -- the returns are set in the bank's favor.

It's tough, because the system is rigged to keep people in debt, not save capital -- all the savings vehicles are nothing but leaky vases or lock boxes where the tax man also has the key -- you can't take your money out without his key, either. ;-)

Archer, you are absolutely right ! Thank you, good comment. My lil dilly above was only to illustrate once the slaves have been sufficiently intrenched in debt, their slavery and otherwise status as chattel, the carnal gods only act to worsen conditions.

The citizens are quite in control of the elected as one inquiry of who one is going to vote for reveals.

The response is as follows typically, "it's time to change the A*s-hole?"
