If he is talking about formal education, I agree. But education and learning are very close. No one should ever stop learning.

    It is probably safe to assume that the word 'education' in this context refers to formal education, not learning per se. There are a great many 'unlettered' men and women throughout history that have done great and glorious things. There is no 'formal' education for wisdom. ;-)
