As expressed by: Dave above in accordance with the federal government's recent unconstitutional, and otherwise unlawful, seizure of the Ron Paul gold coins (&, etc.); and, the quote above, the federal government, and its many states, have their blue print, example, and goose step marching orders.

He was also against gun ownership, the free enterprise system, thought profit was a dirty word, believed Darwin, and liked animals better than people. Good socialist all around. Or I guess you could say he was a liberal.

Hitler was fascist. Fascism is, put briefly, a system of social organization in which the political state is a dictatorship supported by a political elite and in which the economic society is an autarchic capitalism, enclosed and planned, in which the government assumes responsibility for creating adequate purchasing power through the instrumentality of national debt and in which militarism is adopted as a great economic project for creating work as well as a great romantic project in the service of the imperialist state. Broken down, it includes these devices: 1. A government whose powers are unrestrained. 2. A leader who is a dictator, absolute in power but responsible to the party which is a preferred elite. 3. An economic system in which production and distribution are carried on by private owners but in accordance with plans made by the state directly or under its immediate supervision. 4. These plans involve control of all the instruments of production and distribution through great government bureaus which have the power to make regulations or directives with the force of law. 5. They involve also the comprehensive integration of government and private finances, under which investment is directed and regimented by the government, so that while ownership is private and production is carried on by private owners there is a type of socialization of investment, of the financial aspects of production. By this means the state, which by law and by regulation can exercise a powerful control over industry, can enormously expand and complete that control by assuming the role of banker and partner. 6. They involve also the device of creating streams of purchasing power by federal government borrowing and spending as a permanent institution. 7. As a necessary consequence of all this, militarism becomes an inevitable part of the system since it provides the easiest means of draining great numbers annually from the labor market and of creating a tremendous industry for the production of arms for defense, which industry is supported wholly by government borrowing and spending. 8. Imperialism becomes an essential element of such a system where that is possible — particularly in the strong states, since the whole fascist system, despite its promises of abundance, necessitates great financial and personal sacrifices, which people cannot be induced to make in the interest of the ordinary objectives of civil life and which they will submit to only when they are presented with some national crusade or adventure on the heroic model touching deeply the springs of chauvinistic pride, interest, and feeling. Where these elements are found, there is fascism, by whatever name the system is called. Look familiar?

Apparently there's enough Fascism to go around........"We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society."---Hillary Clinton. The problem is that nearly every politician these days has turned into either a national socialist or an international socialist. So, what will you have: Coke or Pepsi?

Does the quote say anything but ..ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country? Somehow, it sounds better when someone other than Hitler says it

J Carlton, Calgary VERY GOOD. I'm surprised any time I see anyone understanding fascism that well. Unfortunately you fell off the road after no 5. Fascism grants absolute power. Absolute power corrupts and eventually the person that has it will seek more of it. That is where the expansion of the state comes in. You do not seem to get the fact that it is a form of totalitarian socialism. Using good old Adolph as an example He was socialist through and through. He hated corporate profit and saw it as unfair to the working class which he felt a member of. The only difference between fascism and socialism is the fact that in fascism the ownership of the means of production still technically belongs to the private sector. That seems to be a small point when the state tells the business what it will sell, how much to sell it for, who it can hire, who it can not hire, how much it is to pay its employees, and how much profit it is allowed. Dang Hillary has said she wants to do all of those things and I thought I was talking about Hitler. Great Hitler quote. My favorite one is as I remember it - profit from capital is immoral and should not be allowed. Yes J it does sound familiar. ■ the Soviet Union. There is a big difference, Jack, between someone asking what he can do for his country and his country telling him what he will do or else!

And that is what Germany is still doing with its stance against homeschoolers and the fear of "parallel societies." But not only them, but the entire European Union for their court in Strassbourg upheld Germany's stance in a ruling I wrote a lot more about this here: http://principleddiscovery.com/?p=275 but Article 2 of Protocol No. 1 states "No person shall be denied the right to education. In the exercise of any functions which it assumes in relation to education and to teaching, the State shall respect the right of parents to ensure such education and teaching in conformity with their own religious and philosophical convictions." The court essentially ruled that this means that the state oversees education and they must only respect a parent's convictions if they do not conflict with the goals of the state. Now Germany has decided that homeschooling is child endangerment.

Hitler was not a fascist. Hitler was a socialist. The words "Fascist" and "Dictator", are not one in the same. Fascism is an extreme form of Corperatism. Corperations didn't rule Hitler, He ruled them. I love how people think that "National Socialism" is a political ideology. National Socialism was a name for Germany's Socialist party. It would be like saying I'm a national republican or democrat. Learn your history and stop bullshitting your way through it. Your high school education is a joke. Just stop. Your only embarassing yourself.

It's really amazing that people are all warm and fuzzy inside to think that Al Gore and Michael Moore are reallllllly telling the truth when it has been long past that they were just so dishonest about their stuff,, they want socialism ,, so did Hitler,, so did Karl Marx,, Darwin,, ,,,lets break it down,, Socialism,= Communism = Marxism,, ... Yeah they are different a little,, but S trickles to C which trickles to a full blown M A R X,,,,, Its the domino effect of all it takes is for the healthcare to be passed through Congress and sign,, to see that the biggest domino has just fallen,, man this sucks for us in America

Hitler was also a decorated war veteran and a Christian. Also he was fine leaving businesses alone as long as they helped the War effort. Finally, all those who think "National Socialism" was socialist because it had the word "Socialism" in the title - is the People's Republic of China Republican because it has the word "Republic" in the title?

I always thought it to be Socialism = Communism = Fascism = Marxism. But now make sure we verify this with the elites and the College Degrees, such as Joe from Nowhere if we only have high school educations which he states is a joke, and stop embarrassing ourselves. My, My, our lucky day to be insulted by elite liberals who are so well educated in being insulting jerks and as narrow minded as one could be.

I have heard the same thing from the libs on this site regularly, how 'society' is more important than the individual, how the 'ego' of the self is the ruin of the world and that we must embrace 'selflessness' and 'compassion.' So many cons for getting people to give up on leading their own lives and using their own brains. And the conservatives are blowing it as well because they refuse to acknowledge that foreign wars are necessary to keep the debt-economy going. Do you know how much a single missile costs? Government military contracts cost us TRILLIONS but at least that money goes to American corporations. Imagine if we bought our arms from China. We will never get rid of socialism if the 'right' will not stop supporting foreign wars in the name of patriotism. Think about it, who has more to fear, a Muslim in the Middle East worrying about getting killed by Americans or an American in the US worrying about getting killed by Muslims? Seriously.

Jack Green is correct. Do we not generally put the organization above the individual whether it be military, corporation, church etcetera. Hitler was an evil man but that does not mean his words cannot be carefully read and analysed. Good thinking Jim from Detroit! Hitler was a right wing conservative.

I rate this quote 5 stars because it is so enlightening to what is going on in our government today. It is interesting that an ego-maniac like Hitler should tell the people of Germany and the whole world that the ego must be supressed for the good of the state. I guess that means everyone's ego except the Furher's. Also, for those who have been educated by the "State"...when Communists and Nazis speak of the "State" they don't mean the states of the U.S. of A. They mean the government of a country. I just want to put that out there so when libs hear about state's rights they don't get it confused. I am always amazed at how much crap the American people are ready to put up with. Here we have a full-blown Nazi/Marxist/Socialist in the White House and we just shrug our shoulders and say, "what can you do?" What can you do? Well for one thing, you can vote. And remember, votes have consequences as we are looking at those consequences today. The DemocRATs "compromised" and allowed 38 billion dollars in cuts to the budget. Do you know how much that is? If you had a trillion dollars that would be about a quarter and a dime. How can people not know that? We are doomed because of the ignorance of the masses thanks to our educational system being owned and operated by the "State."

This is supposed to be about liberty, freedom why waste so much a one bite on someone who should be relegated to the dustbin of history, he was and is a excremental stain on humanity and decency. Capitalism and fascism do not go hand in hand as Carlton suggests, it is the natural and logical extension of the free market system where each individual erases his own interests. Socialism, fascism are the product of government exerting its will in the market place to the detriment of all and the most efficient utilization of resources,
     -- DSmith, Bothell

Adolph Hitler told Stalin that they were more alike than different. His brand of socialism was little better than Joe's. The European form of right winger was to be for an ever expanding government. Our form of right wing is to be for reduction of government while increasing personal liberty. They are exact opposites. In the Soviet Union a conservative was someone that promoted the communist state and abhorred personal freedom. In the U.S. a conservative is someone that promotes personal freedom by reigning in the state, again exact opposites.

We can not protect our liberty, nor would we deserve to have it, if we took no heed to those ideas or to the people that have sought to destroy it. Hitler quotes are the best for the topic of liberty and freedom.

Then you must define "Interests of the Nation" Though it is currently the plat du jour which is why we are in the mess we are in. Individual enlightenment is the ONLY way which will determine the position of the whole. We must remember liberty is defined by individual freedom not by the nation as a whole.

Thanks to Carlton for the official definition of fascism. Fascists are nationalist socialists, as is evidenced in the acronym for the NAZI party. The Nazis are to the 'right' of the communists, but they are to the left of Classic Liberalism -- otherwise known as Libertarianism, today, as the word 'liberal' has been co-opted by the totalitarians.

FDR's 'New Deal' was the implementation of fascism in the US. The US has never gone off that road. The 10 planks of communism (totalitarianism) have nearly all been implemented in the USA to the point that the average American does not know his/her own power/responsibilities. The federal government employs millions of people, all paid for by the labors of the non-government employees. Servitude to the state, essentially, with no choice, no sovereignty, no power.

What absolutely floors me is that the American language has become so Orwellian that lies are truth and liberty is slavery. As Adams said, the revolution will be in the minds of the American people -- if it is not there, it cannot be.

National Socialist. German abbreviation: NAZI. Socialism is spelt with a z. Nationalist: Here in America a simple definition would be: My country right or wrong! So that's one half of racism or being a freak in nazi. In the 70's it's what typified most southern rednecks. And hey, back then being a redneck was not a joke. I mean yeah, rednecks are a joke but back then they were idiotic blindfold crazy SOB's. Once had a convenience store owner refuse to sell me gas because I had a bumper sticker that said: Taxation is Theft! Like I said before, half of a Nazi.
