"The whole gospel of Karl Marx can be summed up in a single sentence: Hate the man who is better off than you are. Never under any circumstances admit that his success may be due to his own efforts, to the productive contribution he has made to the whole community. Always attribute his success to the exploitation, the cheating, the more or less open robbery of others. Never under any circumstances admit that your own failure may be owing to your own weakness, or that the failure of anyone else may be due to his own defects - his laziness, incompetence, improvidence, or stupidity."

Well said Henry Hazlitt ! In the same vein Churchill quite rightly said, "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."...I'll take Liberty and responsibility for myself over that miserable existence every time.

Occupy Wall Street comes to mind. Now that I think of it, the entire Obamanistas come to mind. What suckers the poor dependents upon government have become -- the very people promising to steal from the rich and give to the poor are the rich stealing from the poor!! Heck, Obama's largest contributors were the very banks that were bailed out -- most of Obama's staff are from Goldman Sachs. They are enslaving all of us with 'promises.' No more promises -- let me live my own life and take my own chances, and YOU, too.

Lies, lies, lies; the message of Marx was nothing of the sort. Hate the corruption that is continually introduced to tilt the playing field putting the common man's chances at at making a living in constant jeopardy. Remember; Communism was changed by Stalin into the Plutocracy that it is now. Communism died 70 years ago. It was long gone when the Wall came down

Which of Marx's 10 planks are you talking about, Hanson? And by what means is communism to be implemented? It always amazes me that folks espousing communism who do not actually live under communism can ignore the millions who were murdered to secure totalitarian rule under communism. Talk about hate! Marxism is for fools who would crap their pants if they had to live one minute under communist rule. What they want is to tear down the productive and innovative, to CONTROL every facet of society. There is no more arrogant and brutal philosophy than Marxism. I like communes -- I have lived in one briefly -- but if one were forced to live in one it would be considered a slave plantation. The ideals of communism would be fine if one could voluntarily join and share all property and fruits of labor, but they want ALL property and ALL fruits of labor from everybody. That is simply another form of plunder and exploitation. Hanson is lying to himself.
