"The governments of the great States have two instruments for keeping the people dependent, in fear and obedience: a coarser, the army; and a more refined, the school."

Government schools are a great breeding ground for socialist based theology (dogma, propaganda, and other brain washing limitations, fully supported by the industrial/governmental media complex) with a standing army's presence (inclusive of local policing agencies) putting the icing on the cake of canon enforcement and a Stockholm Syndrome. ( and that's the good part )

The teaching of evolution as fact instead of theory has alot to do with taking us away from "all men are created equal ... " - our roots.

In this country, we are very sensitive about using the military to coerce society. However, we are a police state. For instance, TSA is a federal program that we the people have no choice but to put up with. They have the power of arrest. If we want to travel, we have to deal with them. We have a plethora of government agencies with power to arrest. I totally agree with the "school" as a more subtle way of instilling dependence, fear, and obedience. The answer is to defund most of the federal agencies that have the power of the gun and of arrest, and to dismantle the teacher's unions. Return the responsibility of education to the individual states with no strings attached to the feds.

What else is new? The state concerns itself with one primary task: acquire more power over the populace than it has today. The reason for so much policing and 'education' is to keep us from resisting their unlawful acts, to keep us from lynching the entire lot of them, to prevent them from their incessant and increasing theft. We are conditioned and threatened -- just like the kings and priests of olden times. Liberty is still an ideal, but it seems few have the courage and intelligence for it. A high school diploma is relatively worthless -- most of what we learn and are paid to do is gained through experience, not from government indoctrination. Why are we not taught proper use of arms as is our duty? Quite the opposite, we are taught that only those the government hires should learn how to use arms and the rest of us should just obey, obey, obey.

Again, I agree with E. Archer, NYC. He knows what is happening in this country today. I wish more peole had as much commen sense as Mr. Archer. Benjamin Franklin said, "...those who would sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither." When will people realize that dependence on the government is bondage? Oh yes, the chains are velvet, but they are chains nonetheless.

I would say Mr. Nietzsche gets an ( A+ ). Wisdom is known of her children. Pro-active participation in the movement of todays re-enlightenment of commonsense, and practical application of knowledge and skillsets needed to live an independent productive life. Corrupted State and Church dogma always strives to pull the wool over peoples eyes, when they are most vulnerable. History points this behavior out, very well. Give me Liberty or give me death.

I don't elaborate enough concerning the 10th plank of the communist manifesto. I, with many others here have home schooled so as to foster a love of liberty, inalienable rights, and eternal law  charity and the nobility of life. I didn't need illustrate the specifics or spectrum of forced evil (local police {government license, victimless crimes, etc.}, federal malefactors {compelled compliance, larceny with impunity  2nd plank of the communist manifesto, Social Security, etc.}, secular religions, etc.), it was a blatant antithesis by any free observation.
