    Marvelous... it recognises that society has a direct and real responsibility for the youth of that society. To produce outward looking, innovative adults we must see an investment which engenders this... and that is one in education. Teach your children at home and all you get is little clones of the parents... teach them at public schools and when done right you get worldly knowledgable, society aware, independant thinkers and doers!

    Reston, what world do you live in? The clones are from the public school system -- and hardly engender all the high ideals you mention -- the least of which are 'independent thinkers.' Government schools do not promote worldly and aware adults -- far from it. From my experience, home-schooled children (often travelling and living abroad with their parents) are much more well-rounded, 'worldly, knowledgeable, aware' than their government-schooled counterparts.

    hmmm, depending only on the state, wow; i.e. Those grand interpreters of the inorganic ethereal phantasm's (government) instructional truths. Of course, the noble individual, incapable of real truth instruction, can't hear the same voices (not quite so psychotic). He/she's at home, away from worldly (immoral) State members educating their young in the ways of innovation, how to think, and knowledge. Long live the Borg (NOT)

    People need to be RESPONSIBLE for themselves. Teaching only through the state gets clones of the state, which is what happened in Germany ... Hitler Youth. You certainly don't get independent thinkers.

    How come the Germans did not stop Hitler? They didn't really know that they were fascists -- just like Americans do not know now. When Americans learn of what their government has done to them and around the world, it will likely be too late.

    Interestingly enough, Chalotais in opposition to the Roman Catholic church, their Jesuit school of indoctrination, had proposed a scientific method of study for the purpose of education as apposed to indoctrination of socialism. This just prior to the French revolution. Now it is easy to see the state of affairs in public indoctrination of socialism, taking place all across America. The convulsions of disdain for the welfare state bias and its harsh taskmasters fuel the turmoil felt today. MAGA to KAG
