"The government expands at will, based on what might be charitably called flimsy constitutional reasoning and less charitably and more accurately called arrogant judicial tyranny. Government authority these days rarely comes from the Constitution as written but from the last carefully crafted misinterpretation of it. This is called legal precedent."

I would tend to give this less than 5 stars only because it is too mild in its description.

To quote George Washington, Government is like fire,a dangerous servent and a fearful master. The so called War on drugs is a perfect example. Check out LEAP.cc for information on the hoorors of this "War".

We need a better check & balance system on our Supreme Court. They seem to pass laws on their own with very liberal rulings.

The agenda of the "law" system is blatantly obvious. We are to be to have our rights as sovereign individual human beings swept away and become servants of the government...quite possibly a "Global Government". I can think of nothing more repugnant.

Regarding Cal's comment: by interpreting the law to suit their fancy rather than simply reading the law as it is and obeying it. The Constitution is simple, it is thorough and it is easy to read. We are being hoodwinked at every turn, we (and the last 3 generations) have allowed it to be done and I am pleading with you to come up with solutions. Other than selling all things owned and filling your pocket with gold and walking everywhere unemcumbered from mainstream, I am wondering how one returns to the freeman of our forefathers. I am seeking the answer and will stand with those who will do this. Perhaps the new UNITED STATES government??? www.RepublicoftheunitedStates.org

There are popular revolutions going on around the world, some say they are aided and abetted by the free speech of the internet and social networking via personal computers. Why does not Liberty tree and its many contributors see a ground swell here like we have see in Tunisia, Egypt, and now Libya, with many saying other countries are to follow suit. The answer is simple, we have had an open and participative society and government for a long time now and contrary to the hatred for government and society oft expressed by the afore mentioned contributors - their extreme views are a very very minisucle minority and how it is that they have come by these views is simply any ones wild guess.

Gee Waffler, does it not occur to you that these revolutions are the result of an oppression that has been financed by the west? That western governments have aided and abetted dictators friendly to western interests? And still you wonder why some of us with eyes to see, despise the duplicity of said governments? And here's the beautiful part...they want democracy, just like the sinking United States and it democratic / Big brother/Leviathan Government that has no conmcern whatever for its citizens. Chew on that for a while...
