That is unless you can con them into believing that they are free when in fact they are hog-tied.

In support of Archer: It all depends how you muster your troops and promote your propaganda for support - unfortunately the vast majority will believe anything and give support without any knowledge of what they are supporting. I am always amazed how people give support for something that gives them less and and/or kills their children.

This quote is why a Flag Burning Amendment or law is a bad idea? Folks would burn the flag just to get some free meals. Question: If burning the flag were illegal would it mean just the US Flag and leave us free to burn any other flag we choose?

The concept is sufficiently accurate enough on its face BUT, there are a multitude of other persuasions. By way of example: in 1913 a trifecta of evil was perpetrated on the people to make them accept the religion of socialism, complete with its absolute canons of legal positivism ((1) Social Security, (2) Income tax and the (3) Federal Reserve, all being connected). To make the free sovereigns accept debt (notes) in place of money, income tax was implemented to demonstrate a worth to the debt (backed by threat of prison) further, a promise was made to pay for each person's retirement with the new notes. A once land of the free and home of the brave sold their birth right and soul for a mess of pottage.

But the government is subsidized by those that do not obey the arbitrary dictates of government, and they have authorized themselves to seize the assets of those that will not surrender to their 'authority'. This is classic monarchy, but now merely a government bureau that needs to be fed. The prison industry is a multi-billion dollar business. Man, will America ever wake up to the hypocrisy?!

Prison guards have a union and are all in favor of putting lots of folk in jail. It's job security.

The principle of the frog and the warming pot applies here. For example, there were no police departments prior to the War Between the States (only 3 main policing agencies popped up within a decade or 2 of the war for application experimentation). After the war, the U.S. bankruptcy ushered in corporate Amerika (corporate States, cities police departments, etc.) replacing “the laws of nature and of nature’s God” (Declaration of Independence) with “legal positivism”. Throughout the late 1920s and early 30s drivers license were instituted nation wide. In 1935 Social Security took on its current form of insurance (the illusion was complete, the SS is not an insurance, it is a tax with an end result of destroying families and financed poverty). Compelled compliance, victimless crimes, larceny with impunity, non-recognition of inalienable rights and perfected allodium are exponentially expanding. “⋯ all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves ⋯” Besides the original action for independence, prohibition is probably the largest example of the quote's focus.
