As all legislation is not lawful (per natural law or original Constitutional intent), as any / all collectivist (democracy, socialism, etc.) government is not freedom.

This is a very apropos quote considering the campaign which was run by President Obama. "Change you can believe in". I'll keep my liberties, money, guns and religion, you keep the change.

Mr. Obama has been instrumental in changing whose pockets our money gets stuffed into. And he changed Jimmie Carter's status from worst among the Presidents of the last 50 years to second worst (not an easy task to be sure).

Justin, you are correct that Carter is now the second worst president since Obama is now in first place. Quite an accomplishment in less than two years. Since it's an ill wind that blows nobody good, he did keep Hillary out of the White House.

the quote is spot on. The movement is not forward; it is decidedly to the extreme left.

    E. Welcome back! Perhaps the "Big Bang" is a good example. You can keep your guns, religion, and money, just don't touch my Liberty. You guys make me laugh - you have no idea was left is - the country is going extreme right fascism - get you head out of the sand. Justin, you need a history lesson, the worst by far was Regan, followed closely by Bush, Jr. then it will be Obama. Though, Obama, just may pip Bush to second place.

"Change" is WAY too general a term. The human condition of never being satisfied breeds the need for 'more, better, different' -- unfortunately, as long as we keep trying to put square pegs in round holes, no amount of 'change' is going to help. Truth is not relative, justice is not relative. Integrity is the key -- and it starts with the individual. When fooling ourselves is more important than facing the hard truth, then we can expect more of the same 'change' which as we see is not 'more, better, or different' but 'less, worse, and the same old BS.' BTW RBE, fascism is socialism and is often called corporatism (see Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy -- both born of the socialist parties). What the left forgets is that corporatism IS a leftist creation -- when corporations are the giants and we the little people are but cogs in the machine. Socialism does not care for the individual -- it cares only about pleasing groups -- and if they can't please them, they dominate them. Fascism is ultimately a form of totalitarian dictatorship or oligarchy -- but I guess from a communist point of view, fascism is 'right-wing'. Considering how little people respect Liberty, it is not difficult to comprehend why most of the populace thinks that there is only a 'left and right.' Both the GOP and Demos are socialists, so the confusion is understandable. The Federal Reserve is the base for fascism in America -- that is how corporatism trumps individual sovereignty, and indentures all to a perpetual debt used for unlimited power of the State.

The left reserves the right to define anything in any way it chooses. That is why socialist systems like the Soviets and Nazi Germany had and even Obama and Clinton can be called right wingers. Right wing = bad so every thing bad is therefore right wing. Deductive reasoning. The left sees every word in our language subject to any definition they see fit. That is where the "definition of is is" line from Clinton came from. He did not think that that would be confusing to ordinary citizens. Twist the meaning of words and eventually anything that is said can be claimed to be true. In the 80’s a politician was shot down on the tarmac of a Nicaraguan airport by communist gunmen. The press conference held by the communist leaders was done by a good communist female spokesman. She explained the day’s events and was immediately pounced on by some of the journalists. They could not understand how she could say what she did when not only they saw it for themselves but they had the whole incident on film. She repeated herself several times saying that what she said was the truth. Eventually she made the statement that though her story may not be factual it was never the less the truth. That is a prime example why no one on the left ever has any thing to say that is in any way worth listening to. What ever is said has no worth, or truth, because truth, in their mind is relevant. The definition of truth is what ever benefits the party. When this concept is understood and accepted by the individual he then becomes free to say or believe what ever suits the left with out any problems or internal conflict because truth and fact have no relationship. He then is truly just a political animal. This is taught in communist counties and has been prevalent in the American left ever since Progressivism raised its ugly head over 100 years ago.

Early in his life, Mussolini was a communist or international socialist. At some point he began to believe there were too many divisions between different ethnic groups for international socialism to ever work. So, instead, he turned his focus to national socialism and fascism. That is the sole difference between communism and national socialism/fascism: scope. The far left would apply its warped nonsense internationally and the slightly less left would only inflict it on their fellow countrymen.
