"Everything is backwards;
everything is upside down.
Doctors destroy health,
lawyers destroy justice,
universities destroy knowledge,
governments destroy freedom,
the major media destroy information,
and religions destroy spirituality."

One of the truest things I've heard in years and because virtually everyone has their own personal agenda.

All forms of 'authority' unchecked result in the corruption of power. I would add one more: banks destroy money.

dick, we know the statement is condemning of your statist theocracy's dogmas but, what specifically do you find meaningless and / or jibberish ?

Mike, I appreciate your asking a reasonable question although it wasn't necessary to accuse me of a philosophy that isn't mine. To see no real sense in the quotation indicative of my remark could be expressed by any number of thinkers of any kinds. The statement just simply doesn't make sense. What is expressed of each professional, organization, and of religion is both true and false. I can learn nothing from it except the fact that the writer must have no discernment whatsoever and a totally negative outlook.

Knowledge, in the absence of the ennobling, tempering, influence of understanding, is a concomitant of power - corruptive by its very nature.

Seats of temporal power, compensatory entities that they are, are essentially parasitic in character, subsisting, as they do, on the mouldering substance of deposed Sovereign Individuals.

Let me follow with a George Orwell quote. "In our age there is no such thing as keeping out of politics. All issues are political issues , and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred and schizophrenia".

Love it! it may be negative, but so are many things that need to be changed for the better  the statement is an observation.
And, the MOD is an oxymoron, it should be the MOW. Nothing ever changes while humans are at the helm, they will always steer into a storm... If there is life on other planets I pray we never infect them...

Socialist's are forward, Socialist's are right side up, Socialist's restore health, Socialist's justify themselves, Socialist's make you free,  Socialist's educate, and create you sane.

And these are the so-called authorities to whom the common people have been conditioned to prostate themselves.

This is how socialism has gradually been adopted in America, step by step as others claim authority over the people.  This is why 'power corrupts.'

Given the state of the world today, is there any doubt that the powers-that-should-not-be are acting in concert to rule the world?
