Sounds like Oceana in the book 1984. Always fighting a mythical enemy in order to keep a powerful super-state.

Here's a bumper sticker I saw today: "My kid is an honor student, but my president is a moron!"

This is a perfect quote from a President who has endangered freedom both in the U.S and around the world.

We won the Iraq war didn't we? George Busch did announce that on that aircraft carrier just days after the invasion. History certainly will remember him. Future generations will also remember him... as they pay for his brilliant thinking and quotes.

You don't think there is a shadow government? How else did we get a chimpanzee in the White House? Oh Yeah! Electronic Voting.... Bush is a Globalist / NWO puppet.
     -- J Carlton, Calgary

We have great choices here in the States.. vote for militant fascists that are under the NWO thumb, or vote for militant socialists that are under the NWO thumb! Super! However, the 'force' is strong with one new young jedi... very strong with this one. Let's hope they allow him to live.

Yup. Ron Paul will tell you we HAD freedom until Dubya and the Patriot Act, and.. and...ad nauseum. He's our only hope; the rest are just puppets.

If only that were the whole story. I keep tracing back where the NWO and Globalism and all that began.. and despite GW and his fast forwarding of the death of freedom here.. it goes back through the Clinton years, the first Bush term.. to Nixon to Truman to ... ... to Wilson .. to the Fed and the income tax .. ooh, how far it goes back! We clean house here first, or we fall. Then we can decide who and who is not the greatest threats to our freedom.

I think the first person's comment hit it right on the head. But I'll just add the following from the same book: "WAR IS PEACE. FREEDOM IS SLAVERY. IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH." Part 1, Chapter 1, pg. 6
     -- Kyle Dyer, Phoenix
  •
Yes, war is peace and freedom is slavery because credit is money and intimidation is bravery. Yu don't waive your rights on tax returns because a law requires you to file one as there is no such law, you file because you fear punishment for not waiving your rights. As for G.W.'s comment, Eleanor Roosevelt said: "We must get used to wars that we don't intend to win." She was our former worst lady. Pray that Hillary gets elected and that everyone calls her "QUEAN". See your dictionary for quean.

This new word 'homeland' is being spoken more and more -- it was never used until GW got in office. Sounds like the Nazis to me. We don't secure freedom at home by taking away rights that protect us from government abuse of power. Congress is to blame for letting him do it -- and the People are to blame for not remembering that this is only the land of the free if it is the home of the brave.

Poor quote. Why should it be in here? It says nothing that any one wouldn't know is an obvious fact. There is nothing controversial or inspiring about it.

I saw this sort of thing before in old news reels from the 1930's...but it was difficult to understand because the narration was all in German. "Connecting Saddam to terrorism is the hardest part of my job" GWB.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Joseph Goebbels: Nazi

And this from a man who avoided serving in a war by a preferential deferment in the reserves, then deserting before he even completed his enlistment. A C-student, who was a failure at everything he ever did. How did he ever become 'the Decider"?

I guess we have a lot of people in here that can read any thing that Bush has said and interpret it to mean any thing they want. The selection of this quote is what I question. Why quote someone that is saying an obvious truth that doesn't reveal anything about the person that said it or any thing else. I would be more interested in knowing what stupid question was asked by whom to get this answer from him. I doubt that there is any person commenting on this site that has not uttered something that was not quotable material. The problem with this quote isn’t that it is wrong or shows some deeper meaning, it is just dull.

Leo W. Livingston, Daytona Beach this ignorant diatribe is too easy to debunk. The mission of the aircraft carrier he landed on was accomplished. That is why the soldiers on the carrier put up the banner. They had a mission to depose Sadam and that was completed successfully. The press, as always, twisted it to mean something else. People that want to believe any thing negative about someone they don't like end up being used as "useful idiots" for the fascist press and left in this country. I may not like every thing that Bush has done but I wouldn't want to try to base my disagreements on any thing but fact. Blathering lies when trying to prove a point discredits the person repeating them whether he is aware of the truth or not.

The war in Iraq is OVER. Saddam: dead. His regime: dead. Weapons of mass destruction: well, we sold them everything (that's why we 'knew' he had them): gone. Their oil: ours. Their Constitution: written and in place. Let them take care of the rest. Truth is, we will NEVER be gone -- just like Europe, Israel, Central America, Korea, you name it -- once the American military comes, they stay. Get over it and bring our service men/women home. Get rid of the 100,000+ foreign troops stationed in the US -- they are the only ones that can fire upon Americans in good conscience. Wake up, man.

There would be no wars if wars were financed with taxes. How do we know that wars are not financed with taxes? Well, we cannot pay taxes with dollar bills that the IRS said "are not dollars" nor with credit. The Fed wrote that their system of plunder "works only with credit." The IRS (Imaginary Revenue Scum) asks no one for money, they only ask for paper. If paper is money, why would the New York Times give 5 pounds of money *( their newspaper) for a strip of paper that may not weigh 1/50 of an ounce?

Good imagination E Archer. We knew he had them because he used them and the terrorist groups have been tiring to use them against us but they don't know how to deploy them. We found nuke triggers, saran gas, and mustard gas. 500 canisters of saran gas were found but the press considered the matter closed so it dropped the story on it as fast as it could. "It has already been established that there were no weapons of mass destruction" one pundit said as an excuse for continuing the diatribe of "no weapons of mass destruction" in spite of the obvious facts in front of him. Just because he had them doesn’t change the fact that he didn't. That is a sample of the reasoning of the press and the American left. You can only start to understand it if you realize that to them the concept of truth is totally arbitrary- "what serves the party IS the truth". That communist concept is alive and strong in our press, in our present leadership of congress, and in university faculty lounges across this country.

Warren, it's not just the quote that's dull. How about who said it? A man-child with no more brains than a chimpanzee...a spoiled brat of a man and a bully in the true sense of the word.

"Our homeland" Bush said. How maxny are included in "our?" Are you included? am I? I think not. Of all things said about our perfidious president, I don't know when anyone said that he swore an oath under penalty of death to support the Grand Lodge of Freemasonry in London who said their god (Lucifer) |is "dedicated to the unification of all races, religions and creeds"--The New Age, Sep. 1950. You are not in th battle for freedom until you are exposing the second most powerful force on earth. www.morpix.biz/unja (scroll down a little) If we end the Fed, the IRS and the UN, there is no victory if most keep the religion invented just for those who fight for freedom.
