"Government spending on business only aggravates the problem. Too many business have successfully lobbied for special favors and treatment by seeking mandates for their products, subsidies (in the form of cash payments from the government), and regulations and tariffs to keep more efficient competitors at bay. Crony capitalism is much easier than competing in an open market. But it erodes our overall standard of living and stifles entrepreneurs by rewarding the politically favored rather than those who provide what consumers want."

Perfect! A description of our government, which has taken it upon itself to pick the winners and losers. Shame on unprincipled political leaders who have violated their oath of office in this way. Surely there is a hell for them after death because too many of them seem to escape justice while alive. Shame, too, on business leaders who bribe, cajole and influence others to increase profit and cheat competitors at the expense of tax payers and consumers. Hell is for them, too. Most of all, shame on lazy, unprincipled voters who allow this evil so they will receive special benefits at the expense of their neighbors!

An astute observation in the obvious of nature's absolute fiscal law. Keynesian and other similar type economic systems that finance poverty and a statist's destruction by resource management are good examples of the statement's accuracy.

“Koch Industries has consistently opposed and actively lobbied against all forms of corporate welfare, including those we currently benefit from,” read an emailed statement [from the Koch Industries]. Hypocrites.
