"The Fascist conception of the State is all-embracing; outside of it no human or spiritual values can exist, much less have value. Thus understood, Fascism is totalitarian, and the Fascist State--a synthesis and a unit inclusive of all values--interprets, develops, and potentiates the whole life of a people."

At least Mussolini was completely upfront about what was on his mind. No sidestepping, no euphemistic blather, no hidden meanings or misrepresentations in this quote. Too bad Obama doesn't do the same - then more would be aware of what he and his cronies are actually up to.

This may be read not as a political statement or wish list but as a truism. Like Adam Smith's invisible hand in economics, the life of the individual in any society or social order (be it aboriginal, Native American. or thoroughly modern man) is shaped by the invisible hand of mores, custom, culture, media etcetera. We do not choose to be born in China, Afghanistan or America but are shaped in our outlooks and beliefs by place of birth or state in which we are born unintentionally or otherwise.

The Obamunist has embraced Mussolini's conception of the State. Even the retired military becomes a threat to the despotic theocracy by being racist right wing terrorists (radical Islam terrorists don't even rise to that status anymore). Now that the Obamunist has declared his nation to be contrary to the Representative Republic's Declaration of Independence, that of having no Creator endowed rights, I'm sure we will hear how the ministers of all spiritual values will be getting interpretations of their written word saying they are to obey the new theocracy's edicts (just another page out of Hitler's take over).

And in the end...the Italian people hung his dead ass from a hook. Rightfully so too.

The Obama presidency seems destined to accept the Fascist concept of government, but parading under the names of "progressive" or "liberal" which had different meanings in Mussolini's day. We have yet to see if the American people can realize, and reject, this.

Blather not at all mi amigo. Mussy said that the society ie state iis a big tent, it includes all opinions, views and human and sprititural values, What a great polictical statement. A big tent rather than a narrow focus is liberty and freedom and freedom of expression. Now did he walk the talk, I don't think so, but the talk ain't all that bad except the totalitarian part. Warren your narrow views are fascist, but maybe you just don't talk or write well and your reality is different than your talk.
