"Collectivism is a doctrine that holds that the individual has no rights, and the ultimate standard of value is the group to which 'he belongs.' Racism is the lowest, most crudely primitive form of collectivism. It is the notion of ascribing moral, social or political significance to a man’s genetic lineage—the notion that a man’s intellectual and characterological traits are produced and transmitted by his internal body chemistry. Which means, in practice, that a man is to be judged, not by his own character and actions, but by the characters and actions of a collective of ancestors. Racism claims that the content of a man’s mind (not his cognitive apparatus, but its content) is inherited; that a man’s convictions, values and character are determined before he is born, by physical factors beyond his control. This is the caveman’s version of the doctrine of innate ideas -- or of inherited knowledge -- which has been thoroughly refuted by philosophy and science. Racism is a doctrine of, by and for brutes. It is a barnyard or stock-farm version of collectivism, appropriate to a mentality that differentiates between various breeds of animals, but not between animals and men. Like every form of determinism, racism invalidates the specific attribute which distinguishes man from all other living species: his rational faculty. Racism negates two aspects of man’s life: reason and choice, or mind and morality, replacing them with chemical predestination."

Reader comments about this quote:
Alisa Zinov'yevna Rosenbaum was so cognizant of her own genes that she took the name of her typewriter rather than expose her Jewish roots. We take more care in breeding animals than we do in breeding humans - this by design of the Establishment. The glorification of miscegenation we are fed from Hollyweird these days is rampant, with the aim of destroying the White race - the only obstacle to THEM totally owning the world.

Race mixing has brought down every great civilization in the history of the world. The White northern Europeans who created America and gave the world MOST of its great art, literature, music, architecture, science and technology, medicine, etc. etc. is in danger of becoming a minority in America (and Europe) by 2050. WAKE UP and smell the DNA, brothers and sisters!

'Ayn Rand" is so over rated - a free market CAPITALIST'S /APOLOGIST'S wet dream. Communism and Capitalism are both base materialism and the two sides of the same Wall Street/City of London shekel.

Racism is the catchword of the day. Liberals use it like a hot iron to brand everyone who opposes Obama and his policies.

This quote demonstrates the idiocy of anyone who would follow this propagandist. DNA and heredity do not exist! the first two comments are incredibly prescient.

As a stand alone statement, very accurate. All forms of collectivism are contrary to individually innate and inalienable rights and the dignity of man. Racism is an ugly mental disorder that can be described from, and is based on many degenerate components and subdivisions.

Racism is more than a political tactic today it is also a business for many who have a vested interest in keeping the racism pot stirred, probably the worst racists of all are those who claim only certain races can be racist while exempting others.

Racism is indeed the doctrine of brutes. And we are in fact all being victimized by it. From our own government to the "community organizers" like Sharpton and Obama racism is a tool of division and it is being used as a tool of control. And Ron Weaver...what? DNA and heredity don't exist? That is an absurd statement. We all have characteristics inherited from our parents by way of DNA. That is a fact.

Don't fill out the questions about race until they add American. The American race...otherwise those questions are dividing.

Well, now we know Jimi Bigbear, Libertyville, IA that you are a full blown racist.
I'm glad that we have the likes of intellectually superior people to your backward and racist views that ultimately and completely trashes your mental amoeba ideology.
You could not come near filling the superior intellectual shoes of the likes of Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell.
Christ was not a Caucasian, so I don't doubt that you would have pounded in one of the nails and supplied Him with the vinegar to drink.

    Hey Mary - MI
Intellectuals argue that diversity is necessary for academic excellence, but whats the evidence? For example, Japan is a nation bereft of diversity in any activity. Close to 99 percent of its population is of one race. Whose students do you think have higher academic achievement theirs or ours? According to the 2009 Program for International Student Assessment, the academic performance of U.S. high-school students in reading, math and science pales in comparison with their diversity-starved counterparts in Japan.

That quote was a perfect response to the SCOTUS decision okaying racial preferences for college admissions, so I donated $25 to Liberty Quotes.
