In context, what problems are here being discussed? If it is in general, the expressed altruism is accurate to a fault. If the statement is narrowed to the author's field of practice, the whole thereof is acutely specific. A related example would be, a Wuhan militarized virus. Political science does not relate to the field of knowledge (ignorance  called knowledge by power hungry despots) that can solve the problem. "Bio" and other related scientifically gathered information and data (contemporary  so-called knowledge) is more likely to have solutions.
