It is the gift of our Creator to endure tribulation which works experience. To deny a child their experience takes away their patience and hope. Never to be ashamed of.
In response to the industrial revolution our nation was founded upon the Agrarian way of life with its enduring values and the upwelling of hospitality and care.
The quote has a hint of arrogance from a jesuit mindset. "The art of worldly wisdom" is foolishness with God. For he taketh man in his own craftiness. for he has made foolish the wisdom of the world.
Concerning the art of war and science, the statement stands alone in cost of lives.

I perceive no hint of anything "arrogant", dunno from where you get that, Mike... This is a beautiful quote, regardless of theology.

Reminds me of the simple beauty of U.S. Constitution; Our Founders distilled centuries of wisdom into an amazingly succinct document and philosophy - and now Our socialist-fascist left clamours for the very govt tyranny which America's Constitution banished - BULOCKS.
