Joe, in support of the quote, and your reference: I once assisted in a federal case where no judicial decorum was observed culminating in the judge saying to the jury "You will find this man guilty" We had to wait for weeks for the transcript so that we could appeal. When we got it back it was a complete fabrication. The transcript looked like a perfectly cast moot court in law school; The prosecution, defense, and judge all said the perfect thing throughout. The appeal to correct the court record was found by the appeals court to be frivolous.  -- Mike, Norwalk
I believe that the reason most people trust power is that they are collectively submissive to dogmatic thinking in fundamentalist religions that spill over into politics. They cannot think critically or rationally discriminate and have never been given the mandate to think for themselves.
