Ahhh yes, the war mongering socialists (communist to fascist / progressive to neocon) of the United Socialists of Amerika (USA) fulfill this quote beautifully. From Mr. Obamunist Goodwrench the assissign to the Republican's favorite son (or a Bachman if you like) all scream for blood, compelled compliance, license, victimless crimes, larceny with impunity, alienation of individual rights and war on the individual free sovereign of We The People (calling their brand of slavery and tyranny - liberty).

Who's clamoring for liberty these days? Liberty has not been in any Democratic or Republican platform in my lifetime. The French Revolution was about Liberty but when it was over the old switcheroo was pulled on them and they got socialism instead. When Bush says we are bombing the Middle East because they hate us for our freedom, I wonder what freedom he is referring to. The American people have a worldwide reputation for being fat and dumb hypocrites -- you can blame the media and the banks and the politicians all you want, but the responsibility lies with the people. Looks like they want to be fatter and dumber more than they want to be free and responsible.

It seems to me that it is Mike, Jim K, Archer and oh yeah where is Carlton who clamoreth most for LIBERTY. I fear to think what liberty would be if they had liberty their way. I humbly suggest that things are the way they are because that is the way that people want them, thus this is liberty right here and right now! Now this liberty that we enjoy is not some static doctrinaire thing but a free flowing of ideas which of course is what Mike objects to the most. His liberty is a static thing.

Waffler, of course your over the top fibs make me smile. You're lying liberal rhetoric doesn't in any way come close to even twisting the truth. What have I ever said over the years that would indicate that liberty is a static thing ? Go ahead, remember something and then stretch it, then I'll get to show that you are wrong once again. Also - So, in your humble opinion, people like being out of work, filing for bankruptcy in record numbers, losing their homes, being held indefinitely in some gulag (without charge or trial), or being considered a terrorist for being a Christian, gun owner, or ex-military? In your humble opinion, the 99%ers, and the tea partiers continue to grow in numbers because they are happy with freedom's status quo ? AND, you are correct, the liberty that you enjoy is not some static doctrinaire thing but rather, a growing malignancy with a reduction of Ideas. Do you like all the voting fraud that just occurred in Iowa ? (a progressive / neocon static thing - I'm appalled) If that which I consider to be liberty is static, that would then be an existence without socialism behind its many destructive faces, compelled compliance, license, victimless crimes, larceny with impunity, alienation of inalienable rights, unconstitutional wars, anti-law usurpation, the rest of the immoral tyranny perpetrated by the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land and, all else that robs freedom and liberty..

Canada's current freedom convoy  a we, the sovereign individuals seeking liberty for each and every, any and all are at war with those socialists / tyrants who most often, until late are those who most loudly clamour for liberty BUT, do NOT most liberally grant it.

Self awareness exploration will allow us to discover the proper inherent liberating forces that exist in the confines of human heart and soul.

I haven't ever witnessed Canadians stand up for Freedom until the Freedom Convoy.  Liberals have long given up on Liberty for an illusion of safety  through ever-increasing draconian measures.  What can citizens of countries without a Bill of Rights do to resist state oppression?  Not much...
