And as a shareholder, I intend to use my "proxy" in November to help rid the Congress of the socialists in Washington.

It is so easy to forget that all who pay taxes are shareholders. More should vote. And those elected should not forget that many voted against them.

It would be best if only taxpayers did vote. Those who don't put their money up should not be allowed to vote.

Great quote. More of us should also have a say in how corporations and free enterprize is run and then maybe we would have a better society. Like could we tell our companies to stop making things over seas and to stop using illegal aliens etcetera. Stop polluting our world.

Government is a living entity that devours resources and excretes injustice. I like the idea that government can bring people together, but alas it more often divides us against ourselves.

Great, Mighty Ronald Reagan. People in many other countries get divided on sports, religion, etc., which bring them no advantages. It actually brings them disadvantages, as they get so distracted that they cannot see their power being taken away.

He's the one that got us into this mess in the first place - another pawn of the elite like Obama. There are to many lies and blunders to list and suffice to say he was the most unpopular president even coming in under Jimmy Carter. Just to name a few of his real big gaffs: Trees cause more pollution than automobiles do; St Helens produce more sulpher dioxide than cars did over a 10 year period; and, then praised P.W. Botha’s apartheid regime for eliminating segregation - the list goes on, and on. Most of his quotes were for the press and were written mostly by speech writers. He will probably go down in history as the worst President, but Bush and Obama may just pip him to the post.

Ronald Reagan said quite a good number of good sounding "snippets." Unfortunately, we, the people, got the rhetoric and the thugs that put him in office (and surrounded him while in office) got the action. Just look at what he actually DID as Gov. of CA. through his time as President to see the REAL man.

I believe he was a good man unfortunately he was surrounded by wagons of corruptions and there was no Cavalry to come to his aid.

Robert, I have to agree with a lot of what you've said here. Reagan had excellent sound bites. This one I don't believe was one of his better ones. It's likely the first penny of tax paid was extorted under duress and did not make him a share holder but rather, a slave. The individual was/is already sovereign with his representatives being HIS mere servants.

The whiskey tax at the point of a gun, to pay for the revolution to begin with. The chains our Founding Fathers sought to remove. No national debt should extent beyond one generation, assuring control of the Fed rather than the Fed enslaving We the People through perpetual usury. Oppression, a loan with a sting. Shareholder my %%^, nothing more than slaves until the chains are once more removed. So far removed from the Reality of Liberty, children and adults void of understanding while the non-resident, and illegal non-resident aliens through congressional pandering to special interest groups, overthrow and burden the Patriots plows of prosperity. The point of Enough has been reached, dismantling has begun, reform takes place, deregulation moves forward. President Trump, elected to take a Hard line at/with corruption in all forms within the federal structure of our government, State and Local will bear the brunt for refusal to comply. The more discontent opposition becomes, heavier the hand, to the wheel of correction. That is common sense. 150 yrs to screw our Republic up, will not be righted in 100 days. The Patriots Ship is coming about, in a hell of a sea.

Regan’s here statement more closely associates with a system of Joint Tenancy and reduces individual sovereignty to a commercial venture. The de jure body politic of individual sovereigns uniting would more closely associate (but just barely) to tenants in common. The body politic in the de jure States united is/are servants fulfilling certain job descriptions by protecting and enhancing each and every, any and all individual inalienable rights (NOTHING ELSE ! ! !) The individual sovereign is not a .00000003th % share holder but rather, a 100% primal principal, united with other 100% primal principals.

Statism is NOT republicanism! I am not a shareholder of the US govt, nor do I want to be. Reagan was a puppet, I liked his speeches, but he was obviously unable to change anything. He cancelled a slew of executive orders of Carter's when in office, but he was unable to make the changes in the federal government that would have downsized DC and returned responsibility to the States. The assassination attempt seemed to have the desired effect.

But there has not been a president yet that hasn't doubled the debt during his term... the Clinton 'surplus' was an accounting trick -- there is no surplus, they just borrowed more than they spent -- they did not give that money back, they just spent it.
