"Those who formally rule take their signals and commands not from the electorate as a body, but from a small group of men (plus a few women). This group will be called the Establishment. It exists even though that existence is stoutly denied. It is one of the secrets of the American social order. ... A second secret is the fact that the existence of the Establishment -- the ruling class -- is not supposed to be discussed."

"There is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocking, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it." ~ Woodrow Wilson in 1913. They control through the isssuance of currency....Audit the Fed!

Another bulls*** quote. If such a thing actually exists why is America divided all of the time between the ins and the outs. Their are influential people in both major parties but no one has overriding control over the people as a whole. I recall that when the Clintonites came to power none other than Bob Dole said "we are seeing the rise of a new ruling class" Now if he was correct then obviously the so called "Establishment" which had existed for 12 years under Reagan/Bush had collapsed or surrendered, anyway the so called Establishment in this country is a myth or it is a fluid thing just like the body politic.

Waffler, this "myth" has been around and very much spoken of for a couple of hundred years on several continents. President's have spoken of it, the Bible speaks of it...so obviously its all "bullsh*t" as you say. Why do we have the divide of the Ins and Outs? Because divide and conquer has always worked. You yourself go straight to this administration or that administration as having done this or that...a perfect example of not seeing the big picture. Which is exactly what you are trained to do. That's not a personal insult either, its a general observation of most people.

The puffed up platforms of the right and left are just to keep our eyes off the ball. It doesn't matter if you are the top hat, the thimble, or the race car, all the pieces go back in the box. Read up on the history of the Council on Foreign Relations and the round table groups that preceded them (and are still operating today). When you see a good movie, you don't think about the cameras and all the people on the other side of the lens -- it spoils the illusion. The CFR plays a behind-the-scenes role for the mainstream media and the political machine on both sides of the aisle -- they are all in the same fraternity.

The CFR is not at all behind the scenes. It is available to any and all to join. So Carlton you are saying that Reagan/Bush and Clinton who beat Bush are all part of the same conspiracy. Thus they each and all answer to one higher conspriator who contols regardless of who appears to win elections. If you believe that then why do you get so hot over Obama rather it being Bush or McCain.

Waffler, do you ever get tired of defending the very system of oppression you supposedly oppose? Do you ever get tired of finding your self in collusion with the rich and powerful whom you have adamantly stated your opposition to? Don't you ever wonder why you find yourself at odds with the words of Jefferson, Adams, Madison or Franklin? Yes, the Bush's, the Clinton's, Obama, Gore, Kerry, Pelosi -- these guys are all CFR. Where do you think the choices for president come from? Why are there no smart people? Why are they all millionaires? Where did they get their money? The fact that you are quick to deny and in the same breath try to belittle those that delve deeper than you, just goes to show the accuracy of this quote.
