About 90% of the lawmakers in Congress are lawyers or have been at one time before they were disbarred. The laws are usually vague enough that almost anyone can run afoul of one or more of them and then you need a lawyer. What we need in Washington is a lot fewer lawers and a lot more business people.

I have never voted for a lawyer to make laws or be governor or president, not even our two senators here in our state. I voted libertarian so I wouldn't have to vote for their democrat opponents. Lawyers have our judicial branch to themselves. They should not have the other two branches also in their power.

Law making is an ongoing process of control...and most certainly not with our best interests in mind...but more power over all of us. That is the goal, more power.

Man can not make law. Only God can make law. It is up to man to discover the natural law, as it exists, and then pass codes, ordinances, regulations, rules, statutes, etc. definitively in harmony therewith. Definitions of law that best befit the individual sovereign and his subsequent societies are good. When man makes definitions contrary to natural law, and calls i/themt law (as exemplified by the statist theocracy that infests this land) it is bad. It is a viscious cycle, the more bad laws (government of men as is averse to government of law) that are created and enforced, the more man's experience declines as injustice reigns supreme.

More laws make more criminals -- which means more money for lawyers.

"An unjust law is no law at all." St. Augustine Justice is the higher-calling for which the law is meant. Justice is nothing other than the will of the Lord God Almighty. If any law fails to fall within that realm of justice it must be opposed, rebuked, and ultimately abandoned. That is what our forefathers did many years ago and that is what we must do today. It is our duty as free citizens.
