"Free enterprise capitalism exists only when people in the private sector are free to pursue their own interests without direction from government. When politicians start passing laws to tell them what to do, or bureaucrats start issuing edicts to tell them what to do, it is no longer capitalism; it's fascism."

I've mentioned here before. When I was in business I had a manufacturing facility where the communists and fascists came in to regulate my production and otherwise tell me what to do. Such governmental direction cost an inflationary 20% extra. I closed and moved the facility so that a shadow of capitalism could still be attempted.

Fascism has been the de facto form of government of the US since the days of FDR and the New Deal. Capitalism is usually defined as the enemy of communism. Trade is the life-blood of a nation. 'Capital' is a form of property; honest and voluntary exchange of property is considered 'fair trade.' Theft and thievery can take on a myriad of deceptive forms -- 'free trade,' 'fair share,' 'insurance,' 'security,' 'investment' -- twisting the meaning of words is the con man's game. All forms of authoritarianism and statism are cons against the free man/woman.
