The truth is that 20 verses in Bible show that Jesus would return before disciples all died, and you cannot produce one verse that says, hints, suggests or implies that Jesus will come IN OUR FUTURE. Ask why so many believe what isn't true. neatmail@gmail.com

I agree with the sentiment 100 percent. The same sentiment has been quoted by many other sources, including the Vedas Credit should go to humanity and no single source. Rising from the dea after three days is also atributed to other Gods

When it comes to the truth, who cares who said it? This nugget of wisdom is timeless -- as true today as it ever was.

Responding to a question by Thomas, "We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." For a person to make such a statement, he was either a deceiver, self deceived or who he claimed to be.

Freedom takes more than knowing the truth, and a whole lot more than just thinking you know the truth.

I agree with Reston on this one. As to the Bible, from whence came this quote, here's some good advice from the Buddha. "Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense".

Anonymous, Reston, VA, US - You are an absolute ignoramus! Maybe that is your ultimate problem -- you don't seek "TRUTH" and therefore spiel absolute nonsense!
     -- Mary - MI
  •
Mary-Mi, while I rarely agree with Reston, I don't think you know whether he seeks truth or not, unless you are a mind reader.

and the truth shall make you free Jesus of Nazareth May we add something to this folks? The truth will set you free but, IT MUST first make you mad. Get mad enough to take action. Your ACTION will set you free.

"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17:17) "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." (Matthew 24:35) "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) Are you ready? "Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD." (Psalms 106:48)

In the apprehension of Truth, receptivity and discernment make the defining difference, unfailingly.

What they call the truth will only imprison you - the truth is hidden from us. So it will be nearly impossible to know the truth. What is correct is telling the truth as this will set you free.

Verses written more than a hundred years after his death and then rewritten many times - it's difficult to know what the truth is...
Truth is truth, its absolute, it needs no commentary.

" Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you." I John 3:13.
" My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth, and shall assure our heart before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. BELOVED, BELIEVE not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is in the world. Ye are of God little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak thy of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us, he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error." I John ch 4. " These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth."
These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God." Rev 3:14
Gifts of the knowledge of God, his Liberty and Freedom in this life and also that which is to come. The Creator's power of Sovereignty projected upon the United States of America, for the purpose of saving those which believe. If a nation seek mercy, they must be merciful. Grace removes doubt, mercy removes misery. Freedom removes doubt, Liberty removes misery from chains of economic, physical, and spiritual oppression.
