"Each State, in ratifying the Constitution,
is considered as a sovereign body, independent of all others,
and only to be bound by its own voluntary act.
In this relation, then, the new Constitution will,
if established, be a FEDERAL, and not a NATIONAL constitution."

James Madison
(1751-1836), Father of the Constitution for the USA, 4th US President

Now, let this be remembered by all those who have been claiming that the States are not sovereign since they have joined the Union. And let's put Washington D.C. back in their proper jurisdiction and out of the affairs of the States and their citizens. We have a federal Constitution, not a national government!! Knowing the difference is crucial to Liberty.
 -- E Archer, NYC

If only more people would study our history... There is hope: If the series, John Adams is true to the book, it will open a lot of eyes to our founding fathers, and also their wives and families, and the risks that they took for the betterment of their countrymen and the future of our country.
