"The politicians don’t just want your money. They want your soul.
They want you to be worn down by taxes until you are dependent and helpless."

James Dale Davidson is exactly right. Not only will workers be "worn down by taxes...dependent and helpless", but they will be uncreative. We've only to look at the mediocrity in contemporary visual "art", and listen to the maddening sameness of mainstream popular music to know that something is terribly wrong. We all need more time to recharge, to contemplate, to look within, but much of current life seems expressly designed to prevent us from recharging, to make us more passive, to make us give up. However, remember that this has always been the case, and the greatness of people like Rembrandt lies not in their creative output, nor in their draughtsmanship, nor in their ability to capture gesture, but in the fact that they never gave up.

Dependent and nothing more than indentured servants. Human livestock where the rewards of your work go to the ruling elite and they dole out what they believe you need to survive.

Thank you Byron and J Allen, stated well. I might add a caveat; I'm not sure how cognizant politicians are of the individuals they beat down as much as, they are enthralled in feeding their own egotistical appetites and self interests.

What else would we expect from a operative of the Natioanl Taxpayer's Union. USA taxes are among the lowest in the industrialized world and the lowest they have been since the 1950s. As we should all know we have not been operating on taxes but DEBT. Let us man up about the debt then lower taxes some more.

Great quote and the exact reply that you'd expect from Komrad Waffler.

We must remember the income tax began with a social purpose. It was called the income redistrubution act before it became the 16th ammendent.

The quote is spot on. This tax regime isn't about collecting revenues sufficient to maintain infrastructure at all. Its absolutely about controlling the population and keeping us all in our place. Heck if they need more money they can just call Bernanke on the phone and order up a couple thousand tons of it right? The system is corrupt and the currency itself is ultimately worthless. End the Fed.

Dependent, helpless, disspirited and servile. This was the trend in government for 92% of the last century (except for the Reagan years) and until the election of Tea-Party backed politicians, was the status quo in Washington, D.C. No wonder the government-loving Democrats and Republicans want Christianity removed from the public square, just as the Communists attack religion when they gain power. No, the only legitimate power is the state, according to them. Thank God for the NTU and the Tea Party movement!

Great quote..we are screwed In 1913, the shareholders of the Federal Reserve took a major step toward the enslavement of humanity when they finagled the right to create money out of thin air based on the credit of the American people. This monopoly which rightly is the responsibility of Congress, is worth more $ Billions annually in interest alone. They are doing everything to protect this monopoly, including wars leading to the establishment of a global police state.

The politicians are bought and paid for by the money masters, the true ruling class. Taxes simply guarantee their monopolies and keep the people down. People are naturally productive and innovative, but like domesticated animals once tamed, they can be kept alive by their owners and never learn how to be free and responsible. You can always count on Waffler, Reston, and dick to defend slavery -- as long as they got their free ride, all the rest can go to hell.

And now, courtesy of Obamacare, the domesticated animals can be put down at the pleasure of the politicians - whether they have outlived their usefulness or resist taming.....

Waffler, a question for you. Since I personally, nor any freedom loving sovereign, nor anyone that would claim a representative republic or the original Constitution as his definition of his government have no government, what debt are we to man up to? There is an unconstitutional, anti-lawful, and usurping statist theocracy infesting this land, that uses funny money (that is only debt) as a controlling tool that can not be paid back. (note / by way of example: at the start of the funny money, there was no money. Then, an intangible concept of no substance as a foreign supported monopoly of force, created debt out of thin air and then lent the debt at interest to captive helots, serfs, and otherwise slaves.) Even if the lent debt could be paid back in full, where is the interest on the debt going to come from? Man up Waffler, quit being part of the problem (promoting half truths, all out lies, and the enslavement of a once free people) and accept the whole truth of freedom! (a supporting question, how can a servant, as a representative, lawfully enslave his master - i.e. the 16th Amendment? answer: its impossible, he can't from 1913, the guaranteed representative republic has not existed. Freemen of the world, men and women, are without a country)

Its time all Americans learned the truth about taxation in America.
The "income" tax is and always has been an excise on gains from certain federally-connected activities in which most Americans do not engage in meaningful (taxable) amounts, if at all.
Learn what is your rightful stature as the masters and mistresses of your own lives and fortunes, just as was intended by the founders of this great country!
