    What makes you think the UN can be trusted with our military any more than our military can be trusted with 'elected' presidents like the Bush's? Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. It is bad enough Americans have lost control of their government -- now we are expected to turn it all over to the UN? There are no Constitutional chains limiting UN powers -- whatever they say goes, as long as none can oppose them. They are but a paper tiger today, but give them control of the world's military, and look the f*** out.

    One of Bush's finest hours. And those uneducated in such matters jumped on his "new world order" comment to see something sinister when he only was saying something positive. We have discussed the fact here before that there is always a world order, just like there is always a "state of the union". There is nothing new about a new world order except that it is constantly new and evolving daily with the politics of each and every country and organiziation involved in world politics.
