Vedapushpa, I am not quite sure I understand your comment. Are you using sarcasm ? Are you making fun of fascists (sorta like - the beatings will continue until moral improves) ? History demonstrates over, and over again, the more severe the punishment for non-adherence to prohibitions, the more violent and immoral (with a trail of graft and slime) individuals making up society become. Vedapushpa...on what level would it be a human lapse? If I decide that Chai is evil and make a law against using it punishable by death...am I creating a moral law? By who's authority is it decided what a person can or can not put into their own bodies? By what moral foundation do we justify forcing our own "version" of morality on others? I don't advocate drug use but what others do to themselves is none of my business...and none of yours either.
