Liberty at the present, needs rescuing as well from the judicial and legislation branches (acting individually as themselves and in concert - acting with and as independent executive sources).

I hope there still is a chance for America to undo all the usurpations of the Executive during GWB's term.

Very true quote, and I agree completely with Mike from Norwalk. E Archer, do you think GWB has done more damage than Clinton? Don't you remember Ruby Ridge, Waco, Elian Gonzales, FBI investigations of political opponents, back door deals with China ... and the list goes on. I totally disagree with most of the Democrat's party platform, but I can see PLENTY of dirty laundry in the Republican party. Until we get past our partisan politics and start looking at these as govermental problems which go far beyond the two controlling parties, we will lose this contest for our liberty. These Republican-controlled terms have made it crystal clear to me that the Big Two may talk a good talk about their differences, but practically, there is very little difference. They are both big-government, power hungry, elitists. We can argue all day about solving the health care problems in America or who should control our social security dollars, but the simple fact is that, Constitutionally, these are not functions of the Federal government. Probably 90% of what the federal government does is outside the bounds of the Constitution. The problem is how do we get our lawmakers to OBEY THE LAW.

Yes, Mike/NC, GWB has done more damage than Clinton -- suspending habeas corpus, unaccountable secret police, terrorizing Americans and political opposition, and generally preparing a seat of power for the next puppet to abuse. While the conservatives and the liberals hold some liberties sacred, the only progress each makes is bringing the country further to fascism. Clinton's policies strengthened global federalism -- the true goal of the CFR. Every president seems to have been perfect for the job -- now we will see the Dems 'undo' the bad GOP policies with their own brand of fascism. The two parties are one -- and we have been brainwashed into thinking that either of them care about freedom or the people. All they care about is power, and those that hold the purse-strings make the marionette dance.

Some how I think that "The People" have a form of liberty that can not be confiscated by any government. It is the liberty of Being. Each of us are spiritual beings having a human experience and the core of true liberty is a characteristic of our spiritual essence which can only be relinquished willingly and individually. To do so would be a big mistake,in my eyes.

Dirty laundry in the democratic and republican parties is exactly why you should vote a third party. I vote Libertarian to tell the bastards I do not approve of how they are running our country. Libertarians are the third largest party, but it doesn't show because, like most third party voters, they vote "the lesser of two evils," instead of who they actually want. The problem is it tells who you vote for you want them in office, when in fact you DIDN'T want the other candidate.

Joe, I intended to do just that, but I looked at the ballot for my district, and there isn't a single Libertarian on it. For the first time in 20 years since I became eligable to vote, I am considering not voting.

The greatest executive threat OUR Republic and personal God-given Liberty has ever faced is Obama and his Marxist minions. Say what you will about GW Bush but at least he was a REAL president ... Obama just plays one on TV.
