Reader comments about this quote:
A lot of thought provoking truth there. The anti-industry and economy pursued by all the patrons of the occupying statist theocracy infesting this land testify to the truthfulness of the comment.

Pretty sure this wont come out of obamas mouth. But we still have some liberty, we may have to take it , but we still have the means. happy new years all.

Liberty is not a hand-out from society, the community, or the government. Liberty is the freedom to choose one's way and bear the consequences of that choice. Those that have chosen to grow, invent, or manufacture something are being industrious and contributing to the economy. It is the producer that is the foundation of an economy. Shipping, communications, banking, and the services industry are all secondary -- without production, there is nothing to trade, nothing to ship, nothing to negotiate, nothing to service -- except shifting papers around. Once a people no longer produce, it is only a matter of time before the economy collapses. The bulwark of the current US economy is debt and the speculation that derives from it -- all promises and not enough production to back it up.
