"The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the Prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this."

The dangerous increase of crime in this country, as well as all others, is always preceded by government's enforcement of tyrannical rules. Einstein references alcohol prohibition, today it is drugs, religious freedom, fiscal law, etc., etc., etc. The occupying statist theocracy infesting this land, enacting canons based on an hegemony of atheistic socialism is about to bring about extreme violence, pain, poverty, hunger, and death. (-; have a great day ;-)

And they have these stupid drug laws today. Although I have never taken drugs or used them myself, they are a persons own personal business. Ron Paul wants to rid us of the federal drug laws and return them to the states. Like Barry Goldwater, he believes this is a STATE ISSUE.

Cal - I couldn't agree with you more. Just as Alcohol Prohibition expanded profits for the criminal element, mob take over of neighborhoods and the loss of many innocent lives caught in the crossfire - the same can be said of the insanity of the so-called 'War On Drugs' creating similar results with the expansion of drug cartels wreaking havoc in neighborhoods and on our borders.
