"If you once forfeit the confidence of your fellow citizens,
you can never regain their respect and esteem.
It is true that you may fool all the people some of the time;
you can even fool some of the people all of the time;
but you can't fool all of the people all the time."
Abraham Lincoln
(1809-1865) 16th US President

    So true! Mr. Bush is fooling the right wing morons all the time. He even fooled (almost) all the people at one time. But he can never fool all of us all the time.

    I think it was an excellent quote and very timely considering that the present administration is trying it's darnedest to fool us all.

    You can't fool all of the people all of the time , but you can fool a whole bunch as evidenced by Obama being elected twice.

    The occupying statist theocracy infesting this land, through its seminaries (government schools), ecclesiastical propagation (media) and otherwise have developed a slave category that qualifies as a lot of the people all the time (even if you are a proven criminal to powerful to prosecute, the fools will never forfeit the confidence of the political malefactor). That category of; "can't fool all of the people all the time" is still in tact as there seems to be an ever shining light of life, liberty and recognition of the laws of nature and of nature's God.

    This is the primary reason 'fools' are not qualified electors -- somehow we forgot about that. I have no doubt that the government actively promotes and teaches foolishness. Keeping the powerless powerless is a full time job. That way they surrender their will to whomever promises to save them.

    Lincoln along with his abolitionists appointed SC activists and went against the Constitution in the Dred Scott case. What is the moral of this story, that he is exactly what he warned of, a deceiver.
     -- Don Lee, Reno
    As we witness today in the age of censorship...the tool used when all the people cannot be fooled all the time.

     -- Sandee
    Lincoln was a war criminal! He waged an unnecessary war of aggression on southern states who desired to secede from the union, there's nothing in the Constitution for bidding any state from leaving the union for any reason, that is all part of the consent of the governed of those states.
    How many people know that Northeastern states also threatened to secede about 10 years or so earlier for various reasons and they were accommodated.

    The reason for the war of Northern aggression was primarily economics, but thanks to the Lincoln historical gatekeepers people still think of honest Abe. What masterful propaganda, there are two sides to every story so far the vast majority of Americans have only heard one.
